If mainstream science ignores actual data and reports the exact opposite of reality, then they have become nothing more than the Big Lie. President Eisenhower warned about this.

In today’s New York Time article they discuss the 1974 CIA global cooling report, and say that the CIA warned about CO2 induced warming.

In 1974, the C.I.A. issued a classified report on the carbon-dioxide problem. It concluded that climate change had begun around 1960 and had “already caused major economic problems throughout the world.” The future economic and political impacts would be “almost beyond comprehension.”

It is difficult to imagine journalism more Orwellian than this. The 1974 CIA report was discussing global cooling and a new ice age. They said the world was returning to its normal cold state, and that it was natural climatic change. Everything in the New York Times article was the exact opposite of reality.

Arctic sea ice melt slowed considerably yesterday, and I am now pushing my ice-free Arctic forecast out to October 29, at 11:59 am.

Arctic sea ice volume is fourth highest in the last 15 years.

July 31 afternoon temperatures have been declining in the US for a century, with the hottest year being 1917 when almost half of the US was over 95 degrees.

On July 31, 1954 there were 100 degree temperatures coast to coast. New York City was 100 degrees.

On July 31, 1988 it was 110 degrees at Montevideo, Minnesota, and much of the US was experiencing extreme drought.
