Our Downward Trend Points Towards 6C Upwards

CO2 emissions rises mean dangerous climate change now almost certain Research by Global Carbon Project says emissions growth placing world on path to warm between 4 and 6C

“I am worried that the risks of dangerous climate change are too high on our current emissions trajectory. We need a radical plan,” said co-author Corinne Le Quéré, director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research in Britain and professor at the University of East Anglia.

That is very queer, because temperatures have been going down for the past decade. But then again, climate science seems to have nothing to do with science, math or reality.

This story led the news on SBS TV last night. I’m not sure what I think of this, whether SBS are so dumb as to believe it or that they think viewers are credulous enough to swallow it whole.

I predict by 2030 the world will be so moronic it will have collapsed into a dense mass of infinite imbecility so thick that global warming will give up in disgust and move to Chicago.

During these early Celtic and Viking settlements, the climate was significantly warmer and about 25% of Iceland was covered with forest compared to 1% now.

    Another ‘climate expert’ from UEA…

“Corinne Le Quéré is Professor of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia and researcher at the British Antarctic Survey. She specializes in the study of the global carbon cycle, using numerical models and data analysis to quantify the interactions between the carbon cycle and climate for time scales going from one to several hundred thousand years. She recently led a team that uncovered the weakening of the Southern Ocean CO2 sink in response to human-induced climate change. She co-chairs the Global Carbon Project, a non-governmental organization that fosters international research on the global carbon cycle, and was lead author of the 3rd and 4th Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. Originally from Canada, Prof Le Quéré completed a Ph.D. in oceanography…”

The Aussie scientist repeated the same thing here in Oz. You’d swear it’s a co-ordinated propaganda movement. Here is the paper they appear to be basing their claims on. I notice there is an allowance for oceans absorbing CO2 but none oceans for absorbing heat, which oceans obviously don’t do. Just a small thermodynamic oversight.

    • robert barclay says:

You are absolutely right about oceans not absorbing heat. They cannot because of surface tension. I have tried to heat water from above and you can’t, the surface tension blocks it. What ever is happening on this planet it is not because co2 is being heated by the sun and that PHYSICAL heat being transferred into the ocean. This argument should never have got off the ground in the first place because the existence of surface tension kills it stone dead. Its a scam, no question.

  6. jeremyp99 says:

Excellent. I have emailed miss Le Quere to ask her what it so difficult to understand about the HADCRUT graph? We shall see.

  7. jeremyp99 says:

Andy Oz. Of course it is co-ordinated. It’s about control, and then impoverishment. We must fight them to the bitter end.

  8. leftinbrooklyn says:

‘CO2 emissions rises mean dangerous climate change now almost certain’

Not to mention the dangerous climate change that’s not almost certain, but absolutely certain, as it’s ended the existence of millions of species for billions of years. We’re just the first species with the ego and intellect to believe we can change that.

  9. LOL in Oregon says:

    Whoo Hooo!
Did you see that the U.S. was shrinking its CO2 by 1.9% in 2011?
In the mean time, China, now # 1 emitter at 28% of the total, grew 9.9%!

But you are a guilty sinner and must huddle in your fuel poverty cold house
    and help
starve the surplus population, faceless in third world countries,
by burning food in your car!
    Haaaa, Haaaa, Haaaaa!

  10. If there is no climate crisis the Global Carbon Project has no purpose in existing…

    • jeremyp99 says:

Not so. Control of the population and carbon tax to impoverish us. They will just ignore reality, which is exactly what the just published UK Energy Bill does; it’s an absolute shocker. We’ll be looking for a genny.
