Kook and Nuttercelli Forgot To Read This Paper

In 1971, NASA and NCAR’s top climatologists said that CO2 effects are diminishing, and predicted an ice age.

  1. Dave N says:

Kook and Nutter say guys like Schneider and Lamb never existed before about 1979, then suddenly popped into existence when they started looking for more funding.

  2. Cynical Seamus says:

Probably wasn’t peer reviewed – by the right sort of peers

  3. omnologos says:

Rasool? As in Liam Neeson in Batman?

Perhaps that’ll be better understood by a cartoonist.

  4. gator69 says:

Gaia instructed them to avert their eyes, lest they be blinded by science.

  5. Gail Combs says:

    That one is a keeper!

    He sure changed his tune.

“To capture the public imagination, we have to offer up some scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements and little mention of any doubts one might have. Each of us has to decide the right balance between being effective, and being honest.”

    – Leading greenhouse advocate, Dr Stephen Schneider
( in interview for “Discover” magagzine, Oct 1989)
From Dr. John Daly’s website (Grin)

  6. Climatism says:

Anyone reading that would think that government scientists pick any bi-product of ‘industrialisation’ – CO2, aerosols – and blame them on climate disasters, to convince government to shut down ‘industrialisation’ ! … perhaps that’s been their MO all along?

So perhaps they were stupid, like a fox?

The Climategate scandal exposed the real purpose of the “scientific technological elite” that President Eisenhower warned the public about in his Jan 1961 farewell address to the nation:

To hide reliable information from the public about the force that

      1. Made our elements,
      2. Birthed the solar system,
      3. Sustained the origin and evolution of life, and
      4. Continues to sustain our lives and control Earth’s ever changing climate.

Chapter 3 of my autobiography will contrast opinions of the force from Einstein, Planck and Aston with those of current world leaders and pseudo scientists

  7. Andy DC says:

So these alarmists want papers published in journals refuting their wackball science. Well, here is a great one, published at a time before the science got utterly corrupted by big money handouts.

  8. catweazle666 says:

    From the paper:

We report here on the first results of a calculation in which separate estimates were made of the effects on global temperature of large increases in the amount of CO2 and dust in the atmosphere. It is found that even an increase by a factor of 8 in the amount of CO2, which is highly unlikely in the next several thousand years, will produce an increase in the surface temperature of less than 2 deg. K.

That estimate entirely neglects the purported water vapour amplification – which has, despite all attempts to discover it, stubbornly failed to put in an appearance (see Humlum, Solomon and Vonder Vaar), of course.

    So…

  9. Brian H says:

2 deg. K. Oopsie. RealScientists would know better.
