Humans don’t have much control over the climate outside of their living room, so all large scale climate changes are natural variability

This entire climate conversation is a bunch of contrived BS, with idiotic words like “forcing”  We don’t push the climate around, the climate pushes us.

    After the great 2004 tsunami, I watched a report on local Thai villages that organized to throw large quantities of food into the sea. They explained, and were convinced, the sea’s behaviour was a result of some transgression they had made against her. They were making offerings to appease some spirit. It’s human nature to believe we and our activities are significant in the bigger picture.

      Absolute one right way thinkers believe it is an act of god and perhaps punishment for our sins. The people who died broke the rules. Some climate nazis reside in this zone, particularly many government scientists and communist econuts.
      Orange
      Entrepreneurs and most scientists would think about building away from tsunami zones and installing tsunami warning systems and evacuation procedures. Skeptics generally fall in this level.
      Green
      Environmentalists who believe that humans are the ultimate cause of all things bad and a tax on everyone will pay for white elephant systems to attempt to stop the tsunami and the earthquake. On the good side of this level, health professionals such as medicines sans frontiers supply emergency medical assistance after disasters.

    In order to believe in the AGW scare one would have to swallow the idea that the weather would always be lovely were it not for the industrial revolution even though we have records of droughts, floods, and such dating back to Biblical times. One also has to believe that minute increases temperatures are uniformly catastrophic.

    The bad thing is that the leftists amongst us were singing the praises of the Soviet Union right up until the day it collapsed. These clowns will cling to the AGW scare right up until the day it collapses.

      The left is still singing praises of the Soviet Union and be moaning its passing.

      However now they have a new model. The European Union and that is the model they want to use for Global Governance. Global Governance: Lessons from Europe: What can the world learn about global governance from the diplomatic model of the European Union?

      This is another article taken from a speech by the French socialist that was head of the World Trade Organization, Director-General Pascal Lamy. It is from a speech at the Oxford Martin School, Oxford University on 8 March 2012.

      ….There is one place where attempts to deal with these challenges have been made and where new forms of governance have been tested for the last 60 years: in Europe. The European construction is the most ambitious experiment in supranational governance ever attempted up to now. It is the story of a desired, delineated and organized interdependence between its Member States. How has this endeavour coped with the challenges I have just outlined?

      First, on the question of efficiency, Europe scores in my view rather highly. Thanks to the primacy of EU law over national law. Thanks to the work of the European Court of Justice in ensuring enforcement and respect for the rule of law. And thanks to a clear articulation between the Commission, the Parliament, and the European Court of Justice. It also scores highly from the point of view of redistribution policies. The European structural funds and cohesion policies have overall played a key role in the development of European regions and Member States.

      The picture is more nuanced if we look at the issue of leadership. Europe has had a relatively good record in terms of leadership as long as the leadership of the Commission was accepted. It is the Commission who pushed through the creation of the internal market in the early 1990s and of the euro in the late 1990s, two key successes of the European construction project. But today, leadership is blurred by the competition between the Commission and the European Council. This competition does not only affect Europe’s leadership, it also weakens coherence of European actions. It affects the manner in which Europe is perceived abroad.

      Finally, legitimacy is the area in which, in my view, Europe scores less well. We are witnessing a growing distance between European public opinions and the European project. One could have expected that the European institutional set up, with growing powers entrusted to the European Parliament would have resulted in greater legitimacy. But this is contradicted by the declining numbers participating in elections to the European Parliament. Europe continues to be seen as distant, far away from the everyday lives and concerns of citizens. Despite constant efforts to adapt the European institutions to democratic requirements, over the past 50 years, there has been no resulting democratic spark. Euros cepticism is on the rise, often encouraged by politicians who are tempted to use Europe as a scapegoat for the difficult decisions they have to take at home, a fortiori in times of crisis. Legitimacy remains a litmus test for Europe.

      … I nevertheless believe that it teaches us valuable lessons for global governance. Let me try to lay out a few pragmatic ideas for a possible way forward to bridge the global governance deficit.

      As Lamy explains in that speech and elsewhere “legitimacy” is the major problem for the globalists.

      “The reality is that, so far, we have largely failed to articulate a clear and compelling vision of why a new global order matters — and where the world should be headed…

      To improve policy coherence, we need to build consensus…. To achieve consensus, we need to strengthen the system’s legitimacy by better reflecting the interests and concerns of citizens…. [This is where Maurice Strong’s NGOs come in. They give the illusion of ‘reflecting the interests and concerns of citizens’ and therefore fool people into thinking there is a consensus even though the elite’s foundations are the ones running the NGOs via ‘Donations’]

      Governing this globalized world can be messy and frustrating. But the fiction that there is an alternative is naïve and dangerous. Naïve because it ignores that we are becoming more — not less — dependent on one another. Dangerous because it risks plunging us back to our divided past — with all of its conflicts and tragedies.

    I think the Elite set-up two models for a global government. One was the Soviet Union and the other was the European Union. We know that they had now problems with experimenting on live children as John Dewey’s experiments in Chicago, funded by John D. Rockefeller.

    In 1894, Dewey was appointed head of the department of philosophy, psychology and education at the University of Chicago which had been established two years earlier by a gift from John D. Rockefeller. In 1896, Dewey created his famous experimental Laboratory School where he could test the effects of the new psychology on real live children.

    We also know that the Bankers funded the establishment of the Soviet Union. We know this from Congressman McFadden speech in Congress on the Federal Reserve Corporation, 1934

    If Global Warming really IS the biggesy threat to humanity, why isn’t the AGW crowd trying to do something that will actually stop it or reverse it and do so cheaply?

    For $20-30 billion and a few dozen KC-135 sorties, we could lay enough sulfur aerosol in the lower stratosphere to geoengineer the coldest year in the last century by next year.

    It’s an inexpensive way that won’t have a century lag. Immediate results to fight the greatest threat facing humanity would result in a Nobel Peace Prize. Right?

    Wrong. There isn’t any money or power in that.

    The AGWarmists want cooling? Be careful what you ask for–you may get it. Virtually every crisis attributed to Warming is actually a consequence of cold, and you get crashed agriculture, hypothermic death, and massive deflection of fuel resources to heating as a side benefit.
