The World’s Tallest Building

President Grover Cleveland dedicated the Washington Monument in 1888 to celebrate the father of our country. It was the world’s tallest building at the time, and an unbelievable engineering feat.

First thing Obama did as president, was go on a global apology tour.

I’m not really a big fan of Obama I must say.

  2. Ed Martin says:

Thought it was a golf course tour! Play golf as bad as I do it would be an apology tour. 😉

Top hits from Obama’s Apology Tour Europe 2014 –
“….there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”
“The United States is still working through some of our own darker periods in our history.”
“….we (The US) have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.”
“Don’t be discouraged that we have to acknowledge potentially we’ve made some mistakes. That’s how we learn.”
“… we (America) went off course.”

    EU Reviews –
Germany – “That is just so stupid, and so much stupidity, it just makes you want to cry,” said Schaeuble, a close ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to German public broadcaster Phoenix. “That’s why the chancellor is ‘not amused’,” he added.

France – ‘I know it is the holiday period in our Western countries,’ French Foreign Minster Laurent Fabius told a radio interviewer Tuesday in France,’ but when people are dying, you must come back from vacation.’

Britain – British military analyst and advisor to The Chief of Defense Staff, Sir Hew Strachan who isn’t the least bit impressed with President Obama’s foreign policy basically said Obama is clueless when it comes to foreign affairs. “Obama has no sense of what he wants to do in the world,” he said.

Some utterances from Obama. I’m not a conspiracy theorist and don’t think Obungler is a covert Muslim, but there is no doubt that he has a soft spot for the religion of peace and all its associated lunacies.

    Verified statements from Obama:

[The Muslim call to prayer is] “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.”. (See NY Times)

Obama praises and glorifies Islam: “convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith.”

Obama states at a recent Eid dinner at the White House to end Ramadan, “Islam has always been a part of America’s story. There is a mosque in every state in the union.”

In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.

Just funny that the word “Muslim” does not appear anywhere in that quote, or around it. He said “I will stand with them”, referring to his Pakistani friends in the context of how Americans of Japanese descent were treated after Pearl Harbour.

The existence of every government is constantly creating non-existing problems without which it would have no power.

I know the right thing for any American president to do right now is get back to work. But from where I stand Obama is only likely to make things worse based on his track record so far. So question is should we all be thankful for golf.

Message for Ed Martin; if you were British I would commend you for your irony; first class. But I guess you believe this stuff. But here is a lesson for both Democrats and Republicans. Governments don’t create jobs. Corporates don’t create jobs. Individuals do. All governments should do is create the necessary environment for small business to flourish and grow. Big businesses if they can’t survive don’t deserve to live. This requires regulation that protects the individual from the corporate and government. Any government job is paid out of tax on the productive side of the economy. Corporates (and here I refer to conglomerates more so than the simple corporate entity) are destroying the economies of the West by skimming more and more of the cream off and spectacularly rewarding fewer and fewer to the detriment of the many. This is not Capitalism but corporatism.

One last comment. The spectacular growth in equity values has been built on equity inflation fuelled by government borrowing and is not based on the real growth in sales or market share of the economy. Who pays for all this? The poor tax payer of course and the lower your wage the greater the proportion of your wage is paid to support the equity prices that only a few benefit from. This is happening all over the western world, but is worst in the US under Obama. History I fear will be even more damming than my words.
