Boosh Ended it. Obama abandoned it. But then he has never been good with words without TOTUS.

  2. au1corsair says:

Anybody with real-world experience in warfare could have predicted this. Many did predict this. I suppose these “deniers” are going to be accused of “undercutting the President” when they point out how appeasement worked so well for Neville Chamberlain.

Too bad that the President is as clueless on domestic criminal violence. Means that the crime rate will go up.

  3. stewart pid says:

Bush’s bombing was one of war … Obozo is dropping hope and change from the sky šŸ˜‰

  4. darrylb says:

At least it is a (first) step in the right direction- woefully late

  5. _Jim says:

Will he have to give his ‘Peace Prize’ back?

  6. norilsk says:

He’s between Iraq (Irock) and a hard place!

  7. BallBounces says:

As with global warming, once again, reality fails to cooperate.

  8. There Is No Substitute for Victory. says:

Anybody think that Obama’s New-Old-Recycled-Iraqi War will end any differently than the last two or 200 wars in Iraq have ended. The Iraqis are smart enough to know that the USA has the most modern Army on Earth and that we have the latest, most sophisticated, and deadliest weapon systems that the captains of American industry can imagine and devise.

The Iraqis knows this, they also know that the USA military has all the fancy wrist watches and cuckoo clocks on its side, but Saddam Hussein’s Sunni people also know that they have all the time in the world on their side. This has proven true ever since civilization first reared its ugly blood soaked head in Iraq a.k.a. the Cradle of so called “Civilization.” No war is ever won or no war is ever lost until one side or the other runs out of time. Never believe otherwise. My favorite General in American history said it best, “There is no substitute for victory!” — American General and hero Douglas MacArthur.

  9. rah says:

To sum it up. Obama snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq when he withdrew before the government was stabilized and had the military power to counter the threat of Iran, their Jihadists and the Taliban.

    • _Jim says:

Does anybody have any doubts now that Barack Hussein Obama possesses screwed-up mental processes in conjunction with a highly-warped view of the way things work in the ‘whirled’?

      .

      • Gail Combs says:

        Good grief _Jim

Obama was raised by an out and out Communist who hated the USA. He was raised in a country with a highly authoritarian system of government. (that history of Indonesia is worth a read)

He was raised within a screwed up totalitarian religion that hates anyone not of their religion and then he went to a ‘Church’ where a fellow Muslim ‘Convert’ spewed more hate of ‘Whitey’ and the USA while he was employed as a “Community Organizer”

That Obama isn’t a serial killer or mass murdering bomber is what is the real surprise.

That term “Community Organizer” alone should have rung loud bells if American voters were awake enough to hear them.

        WIKI Community organizing

Saul Alinsky, based in Chicago, is credited with originating the term community organizer during this time period. Alinsky wrote Reveille for Radicals, published in 1946, and Rules for Radicals, published in 1971. With these books, Alinsky was the first person in America to codify key strategies and aims of community organizing. He also founded the first national community organizing training network….

If the US news media wasn’t anti-American, Obama should have been exposed as a dangerous American hating radical before he ever got near ANY political office.

      • _Jim says:

Not reading for comprehension again Gail?

      • _Jim says:

Basically, Gail, what you do in a lot of cases is ‘oversell’. (Some would also say it was ‘preaching to the choir’.) This is one such case. I probably knew about the warped, corrupt, bastardized upbringing ‘nature’ of Barack Hussein Obama before you did.

I notice you missed mentioning a formative character in young Barry Soetoro’s education, to wit, Frank Marshall Davis. “Avowed Communist” etc. etc. etc.

        • Gail Combs says:

Basically, Gail, what you do in a lot of cases is ā€˜oversellā€™….
          >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You only have yourself to blame for that _Jim

  10. Gail Combs says:

I suggest we just get the heck out of the middle east. Do not ship them anything including food and let them sort it all out for themselves.

We have enough oil reserves at present (Thanks to Canada) to tell them to go pound sand. This is means not just the USA but everyone. The EU, Canada, Australia…

    • Shazaam says:

Be very careful what you ask for or suggest.

Given the very precarious status of the dollar at present, you might get that wish.

      Quite suddenly.

      • rah says:

We will be involved no matter what. Unfortunately we have to be as distasteful and wasteful as it may seem. And when Iran gets a workable nuc or Israel pulls the trigger to try and stop them. Well……………..

Oh, BTW I wouldn’t be surprised to see SF on the ground working out of Turkey to assist the Kurds in the next few weeks. The US actually has quite a bit invested in the Kurds. A couple acquaintances of mine in SF died in a tragic blue on blue shoot down of a Blackhawk during operation Provide Comfort. My old group use to have that AO.

If we put any boots on the ground that would be my bet where the first ones are.

    • darrylb says:

Gail, I have agreed with about everything you have said, until now.
The Jihad’s are carving out larger and larger territories from which to operate, and their stated goal is to kill all infidels worldwide.
They would like to make 9/11 look small
They are gathering power and money. Look at the Banks in the some of the cities now under their control.

      • Gail Combs says:

I know that. I also know they have a base in the middle east and that base is completely unable to support them food wise.

The idiot elites in the EU, the USA… the ones who allowed immigration in the first place, are the real problem. They are the ones who invited the Tiger into the tent thinking it was a sweet little pussy cat.

So kick their butts back to the middle east and slam the door. Let them HAVE their first century culture without inflecting it on the rest of us.

Heck it was the US frecking Military that train the Jihadā€™s pilots.

With draw all the help. Send them home and close the door.

The hate us for interfering so don’t interfere. Let them have what they say they ‘wish for’

      • gofer says:

The U.S. is paying the salaries of Hamas’s 43,000 employees while Hamas spends their money on weapons. They used donated concrete, meant for hospitals and schools, to build tunnels. The West needs to stop that support and see if Iran will finance them. Religious wars have no end as long as one side exists.

    • cdquarles says:

Not just Canada, Gail. We’ve put off-limits a few hundred years worth of coal and oil by declaring the area a wilderness or by fiat refuse to allow drilling off-shore.

      • Gail Combs says:

I was thinking of that too but the Canadian oil sands are already in production.

Up until 1913 the USA had an ‘isolationist’ policy. It wasn’t until after the Federal Reserve Act (1913) was passed and the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: Federal Income Tax (1913) that the USA started entering wars that were not directed towards her. Since 1917 (WWI) the USA has been pretty much continuously at war in one area or another. As a result the Bankers/Federal government have not only sucked this country dry but left a huge legacy of debt coupled with a crippled (by red tape) economy as a backbreaking burden for our descendants. This of course was planned by the globalists.

You can find David Rockefeller, the Bushes and even Maurice Strong hand in glove with the Saudis. You might look into Adnan Khashoggi a known international arms salesman who Maurice Strong had several business deals with.

A bit of scuttlebutt and rumor: link

        • cdquarles says:

I am aware of some of our ‘political leaders’ and their involvement with the Saudis. Nothing about the Rockefellers would surprise me now.

I do discern a difference between a globalist that wants a single government for the world and one who wants true free trade (set simple rules that all parties understand and accept with impartial enforcement) and otherwise left alone as long as no force or fraud is employed.

        • Gail Combs says:

Yes the problem is the “Free Trade” has all sorts of strings attached and as Clinton admitted has forced food self-sufficient countries like Haiti into a bad position when the subsistence level farmers are bankrupted by cheap (taxpayer supported) US grain.

You also have the problem that regulations are not uniform through out the world so the worst polluting industries move to third world countries that do not hafe the technology or $$ to deal with the poisons loosed on the environment and their people die This is also true of the high risk industries that do not want to put up with OSHA or the equivalent.

In other words “Free Trade” is great for the corporate cartels but not so much for people.

        • M Simon says:

There are 92 natural elements and countless combinations of them. Not all those resources are located in the US. Free trade as it exists is bad. No trade is worse.

Suppose we protect an industry. What happens to an industry when competition is reduced?

The problem in Haiti is not subsidized American farmers. It is foreign aid. Without that aid Haiti couldn’t buy food on the open market.

  11. Sundance says:

Obama didn’t end the war in Iraq he just ended the USA involvement. There’s a difference which apparently he nor most people understand.

  12. dp says:

I’m trying to remember what it was he recently said to Netanyahu about dealing with rude neighbors that were killing his citizens. Something about emphasizing the need for ā€œan immediate, unconditional humanitarian ceasefireā€. I wonder why that was not the direction he chose.

  13. M Simon says:

A significant fraction of domestic criminal violence is Prohibition related. Say haven’t we seen that movie before?

In the first 6 months of 2014 the murder rate in Denver has declined 60%. Gee. I wonder why?

  14. gator69 says:

    “Mission Accomplished”

  15. Jim Jensen says:

Blaming Obama for whatever is happening in the Middle East is comparable to blaming global warming or weather events on atmospheric CO2 levels. Also, the supposed dire situation in Iraq may not be as bad as the catastrophe mongers think it is. The Iraq catastrophe and the climate catastrophe may have a lot in common. There may be a lot of ignorance fueling both propositions.
