Take away oil and foreign aid and a lot of these Muslim countries wouldn’t even be able to feed themselves. For example, Islam took the bread basket of the Roman Empire (Egypt) and made it entirely dependent on foreign loans and aid to pay for food imports.
Islam does not foster economic growth. It does promote entrepreneurship / creation of new technology. Islam only destroys.

Politics makes strange bedfellows. But muslims and liberals have one thing in common. A complete disregard for the life of children.
I forget who said it first, but “demographics is destiny.” Yes, much of Western Europe will be either majority Muslim or near majority in a few generations. Muslim families reproduce faster. Do the math. Not that Muslims are intrinsically bad; they are not (and yes, I understand that some of you will disagree, but I have known Muslims who are generous and honorable men.) But it will be a sad thing if western culture weakens. Evil comes in all cultures — usually in proportion to how much overwhelming power they possess — but western culture has something that is rare in the world and very much worth saving. Western culture has placed a higher value on the individual than any other culture on earth. That is why the west gave us concepts like natural rights, religious freedom, the outlawing of slavery, free speech, etc. Europe has opened their doors to immigrants who do not assimilate, who look forward to the day when their host nations are culturally replaced.
And the US is doing the same thing. Do I hate Mexicans, or Chinese, or Hondurans? Of course not — but I do not hate the US either. The world is better with a Mexico and a US. It is not better with two Mexicos and no US.

I think they’re supposed to “kill all infidels” as the Koran says, but they’re not all bad because there’s latitude for how they can define “infidel.” And it wouldn’t be good to confuse the relatively rare college educated Muslim with the rest. Neither do Mexicans assimilate much, but I would rather be invaded and taken over by Mexicans then Muslims, if that’s the choice. In this sense we are in much better shape than Europe. It’s like a question of whether you’d rather have your brains be slowly eaten alive by maggots or just be given a 2 hour lethal injection. It wouldn’t be two Mexicos anyhow, it would instead be merged into one: the United States of Amerexico.

Same here — if that’s the choice.
In reality, we ought to have another choice; the US keeps a culture more strongly based on individual rights and Mexico keeps its culture based on whatever the people of Mexico wish. I have no desire to move twenty million US citizens into Mexico and change their culture to be closer to the US. I think most Mexicans would be insulted if millions of US citizens crossed their border illegally and then demanded government services. I just feel that the same principles can be applied to our border here in the US.
Here is a very simple fact. The people of Mexico are the world’s greatest experts when it comes to building Mexicos. They are a wonderful people and wish them the best of luck, but I see no reason why the people of the US should agree to have the US become less like the US and more like Mexico.
Good points. But they want our milk and honey. And a lot of people are willing and unfortunately able to give it to them because they think that their political party will benefit. Or, over the short term, their business will benefit.
Indeed, Eric, you are right, they want our milk and honey. And the biggest single reason why we have that milk and honey is that we had (note that I use the past tense) a system that allowed free people to keep most of what they earned and to run their lives in the way that seemed best for them. And now we have the world’s largest honey pot and a sign hanging out that says “Free Honey!” to the entire world. How much of that honey, accumulated over centuries, will be left in the pot for our children and grandchildren?

You are falling for the Muslim mask. One reader at WUWT (don’t have the link) said he was sitting in a booth in a restaurant when a ‘friend’ from work came in and had a meeting with his Muslim friends. They discussed how much they hated the Christians… and revealed that this ‘friendly Muslim’ was a lot more radical underneath.
He has not said a word to that guy ever since.
If you are Kaffir an unbeliever, a Muslim is prohibited from befriending you. He is allowed to lie to you, practice deception and concealment if it is expedient and may conclude peace treaties only while he is at a disadvantage. The treaties are one sided because a treaty is considered broken if an unbeliever attacks Islam with disapproval or criticism or if the Muslims feel they now have the advantage if they decide to resume war. Peace treaties are viewed as “timeouts” and not lasting peace.
What the following quote essentially means is that Muslims living in the West can pursue a course of peace with their unbelieving neighbors since the latter clearly outnumber the former. Yet when the Muslims muster enough power and wealth to overcome the “infidels” they will be forced to abandon peace and seek to conquer the disbelievers instead.
In particular, this Islamic teaching destroys any basis for trust in peace treaties (or contracts of any type) made by Muslims. They are never thought to be lasting but only until such time as the Muslims feel strong enough that it is to their advantage to break the peace and attack the unbelievers again. For this reason Islam does not know genuine peace treaties with non-Muslims, i.e. peace treaties that end war once and for all, but only temporary truces that can be dissolved at any time. Is it any wonder that Muhammad is quoted as saying that war is deceit!

The ONLY group I have had problems with EVERY SINGLE TIME is the Muslims. They think nothing of breaking a written contract as soon as they have the advantage – you about to do the agreed on work. My husband is much much more easy going than I am and he is completely fed-up.
Actually we love our Hispanic customers who represent a large part of our business thank goodness. As one European said, the USA is lucky because we have Hispanics not Muslims filling up our country.
