Five years ago I pointed out that claims of ice loss at East Antarctica are idiotic. John Cook then ran a three part series attempting to twist logic and common sense into his usual mindless nonsense.
NASA has now confirmed that I was correct.

More calving comes from carbon pollution by dirty carbon polluters like the Koch brothers and the tobacco companies.

Tobacco? I don’t think so. It could be that that photo is from Greenland. Now that Greenland has melted, all that black is probably just rich, fertile, topsoil. The tobacco won’t be growing until December. 🙂
Yes, it is tobacco. See how black it is. We’ve seen the same black in a smoker’s lungs video demonstration. The lungs were already calved away from the smoker but didn’t fall into the ocean because they caught them in a Rubbermaid container. They were blowing into them but only a little so they wouldn’t calve into smaller chunks. They had to do more science classes with the same lungs:

Hey Dave! I think that most CAGW enthisiasts don’t have any understanding of calving. They only think “any ice loss equals warming”. Of course that is stupid… I have asked them, “if the ice were getting thicker and thicker would you get more calving, or less calving?” Nothing seems to make them actually THINK about what they believe.
It is truly stunning how well they repeat without understanding the subject.

I often wonder how many of those alarmists have ever taken on winter in the raw. I mean living by your own means out of a rucksack for a week or more without any permanent shelter anywhere to go warm up in sub zero weather with several feet of snow on a ground. Traveling to an objective on skies or snowshoes. Building snow caves or trenches to sleep in. Finding water so you can save your precious stove fuel.
