We have a similar problem here in southern Australia a place called Princetown the area is a river delta or flood plain and a developer is going to put a resort right on top of it , he already has the local shires consent, what are they thinking.
If you go to my web site fishsticks,co on the post under the heading of Wild Spaces the area between the river and sand dunes on the right or seaward side is where the resort will built it includes an eighty space car park a septic pond well you know the rest all the amenities that people want today .

Nice meadow lark. I remember those when I was a kid in the fields around the house just west of Milwaukee. I haven’t seen one in years. But then back then we didn’t have cardinals, Canada geese, & sandhill cranes.

And another great coyote shot. I must be a sucker for critters in the weeds.

O/T. Am sure you’re already on it but just in case you’re not here’s the Guardian with yet another collapsing Greenland ice sheet = ‘many meters’ of sea level rise hysteria piece. ‘Many meters’, eh? How scientific is that?! Timescale to Armageddon? – ‘It may take a while’! It goes without saying they omit to tell readers of the current record Greenland snow & ice increases. So egregious as to effectively be just another climate lie.

Court and Spark is still one of my favorite albums. Cool Meadowlark pic too!

I know that was off Ladies of the Canyon, but like Court better.

LTCD Spicer reports for duty at the Pentagon. Seventeen year veteran of the Navy Reserve though you would never know it from the “reporting” of the press.
