  1. Michael Spencer says:

Good work as usual Tony, especially with the combination of graphics and old newspaper records. This combination makes it extremely difficult for anyone with half a brain to argue with this hard evidence. And what do you know? Someone who has put in years of his own investigation into climate fraud – Malcolm Roberts – has succeeded in calling out a supposed NASA-GISS “expert”. But then, given Malcolm’s qualifications (Mining Engineering and an MBA from the Chicago Business School), what else would you expect?

    Keep the pressure up Tony!

  2. Griff says:

here’s a better video, showing the older ice in decline…

    • Griff says:

“In 1985, ice older than 4 years comprised 20 percent of all Arctic ice pack. By 2015, it was just 3 percent. That puts the oldest sea ice on the brink of extinction. In comparison, young ice used to be about half of all Arctic ice pack in 1985. Now it’s about 70 percent.”

      • Gator says:

How many poor brown people have gone extinct because of climate alarmists? Since you don’t care I am sure you don’t know.

        Answer: Hundreds of millions.

      • GW Smith says:

Interesting computer generated video. But I see no link to the data source. More questions than answers here.

        • arn says:

Griff does not care about sources.

All apocalyptic predictions turned out to be complete BS.

          Polar Bears extinct
          griff doesnt care.

          Rising Sea Level/manhattan under water
          griff doesnt care

          no more arctic ice
          Griff doesnt care

          than we had
          Climate Gate
          Griff doesnt care

          Climate Gate 2
          Griff doesnt care

Blatant data manipulation=hiding the temperature spike of the 30ies
          Griff doesnt care

The ice age scare(using the same apocalyptic scenarios to scare people as they do now with global warming)
          Griff doesnt care

Blatant lies = that the ice age scare never existed.
          Griff doesn”t care

One for sure does not need more proove to realise that there is something absolutely wrong with this kind of science.

As George Orwell said:Ignorance is strength
          and Griff is very ‘strong’
and Griff has chained herself to the trough of official informations and want to stay there.
When satellites show no warming she’ll wait until some official person says:The satellites are wrong to save her day((of course they only find out that they are wrong when they need it-never before)).

A sane person would simply look back and analyse
what has happened in the past 30 years ,compare it to all the apocalyptic predictions and know what’s going on.
And smarter ones would use this experience to predict the next 30 years and realise that things in the next 30 years will change the same way.
Maybe a few very hot years as in the 30ies or a few
cold years as in the seventies-that’s all.

          • Vertigo says:

Polar bears extinct!? They are not even endangered and their population is still growing! Who is it again that doesn’t care about fact?

    • AndyG55 says:

Poor griff , still DENYING that the late 1970’s was a time of EXTREME sea ice, up there with the LIA..

Still DENYING that there has been a small partial recovery (now ceased) back TTOWARDS a more normal Holocene level.

Still DENYING that current levels are in the top 10% of Holocene extents

griff = CLIMATE CHANGE DENIER extraordinaire. !!

  3. Jim Hunt says:

Hello again Griff, Long time no see!

The Arctic Sea Ice melting season is upon us once again, and as luck would have it I’ve been discussing sea ice age and thickness only recently:

As you point out, the video above leaves an awful lot to be desired, including regurgitating the same old stuff that’s been debunked numerous times already.

How about taking a look at this one instead, as a starter for 10?

How about looking at a recent thickness map too?

    • Gator says:

Why do you care Genocide Jim? Who died as a result?

    • AndyG55 says:

The big slimy CON web site full of mis-direction and selected propaganda

Are you still DENYING that the late 1970’s was a time of EXTREME sea ice, up there with the LIA..

Are you still DENYING that there has been a small partial recovery (now ceased) back TTOWARDS a more normal Holocene level.

Are you till DENYING that current levels are in the top 10% of Holocene extents.

DENIAL of facts is the ONLY thing you have to keep your slimy propaganda going.

    • AndyG55 says:

DMI has current volume in 5th lowest.

Russian Ice charts show a strong growth in “old ice” in the last 10 years.

You are LYING , as always, Jimbo .

And No-One here is going to visit your sewer of a low-level propaganda web site, so stop posting links to that piece of junk.

      • Jim Hunt says:

Actually I was trying to post an image, but due to my advanced age and extended absence I’d forgotten the strange system here. Try this:

        • Steven Fraser says:

Do you have a version of that chart in which the scale extend higher than 50cm (1/2 metre). That one does not inform about where the thick ice is, and how thick it is.

It does a good job of communicating that there is a lot of Ice 50cm+, for example, Hudson bay, the North Baltic, etc.

        • AndyG55 says:

WOW, there really is ONE HECK OF A LOT OF SEA ICE up there, isn’t there, Jimbo

Fair more than for 9/10 of the Holocene

          Wouldn’t you agree.??

Or would you continue to DENY that current Arctic sea ice levels are only a small bit down from the EXTREME HIGH ANOMALY of the LIA and the late 1970s.

          • Griff says:

They are millions of square km down on the late 1970s and now lower than the lows seen in the 1940s. The early holocene is irrelevant, as different influences, not now in play, caused the low levels seen at the time.

          • AndyG55 says:

Late 1970s was an EXTREME HIGH griff.

Up there wuith the ANOMALOUSLY HIGH levels of the FREEZING COLD LIA.

BUT.. the extent is WAY more than most of the rest of the Holocene.

Way more than even the MWP which was just before the LIA.

Why do you REFUSE to actually learn ANYTHING about actual climate history, griff.

            Were you born WILFULLY IGNORANT??

Why are you such a FANATICAL Climate Change Denier?

          • AndyG55 says:

The early Holocene is TOTALLY relevant, no matter how much you DESPERATELY try to remain IGNORANT about it.

So is the MWP, and the RWP.

Even more relevant is the LIA, which was a FREEZING COLD Anomaly which we can all be VERY THANKFUL we have had some slight warming from

Do you REALLY think the COLDEST period in human history is actually desirable ?

Do you really HATE humankind as much as you HATE YOURSELF?

        • AndyG55 says:

          Thanks jimbo,

I’ve saved the image under the name, “LOTS of thick sea ice”

      • Steven Fraser says:

Please check your chart. It seems to me that for the last several days, DMI Ice volume has been #11 of 16 years, which is sixth lowest.

        • AndyG55 says:

oops, haven’t updated for a few days.

          • Steven Fraser says:

No worries. The trend the last few days has been that 2018 is gaining ice 3rd fastest of the 16 years in the DMI set. Its gained 153 cu km since the 7th, 85% of the gain rate of the very highest gain rate year for this period. The next highest volume year, 2013, gained 65 in that time. As of yesterday’s numbers, they are now 142 cu km apart.

So, as far as this time of year is concerned, 2018 ice gains are very respectable. In the next couple weeks, we should be able to tell if it will peak higher than 2013, which peaked on April 22.

      • AndyG55 says:

        2008 v 2018

Your CON is never going to work, jimbo.

        • Griff says:

The dark area is ice which has survived one season… but the point is much more of it is only one or 2 seasons old, not 3 to 5 years or more… nor is it thick old ice…

          • TimA says:

Why don’t Griff and Jim get a room so the adults in the room can have a conversation?

          • Robertv says:

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

            Napoleon Bonaparte

          • AndyG55 says:

Poor griff, increase in old ice.

            More ice next year

I’ll sure you will find something else to cry, sob, panic and generally bed-wet about, though.

Its what you do, Its who you are. .

          • Griff says:

Yes, with Jim and I there the only adults could discuss science…

          • Gator says:

The only two ghouls willing to sacrifice millions of innocent humans for a leftist agenda.

          • AndyG55 says:

Griff, you can’t discuss science with Jimbo

            Neither of you knows any.

It would just be one fantasy trip after the other as you got higher and higher on your own egos.

        • TimA says:

There was a mythological creature called a GriffHunt which used to be elusive and deceptive and existed only to find ways to undermine the wisdom of mankind….could it be making a reappearance?

    • Latitude says:

“How about looking at a recent thickness map too?”

That’s not a “thickness” map… only goes to 20 inches

    • Gerald Machnee says:

**How about looking at a recent thickness map too?**
Too bad, that map does not give thickness above a metre.
      So sad.

      • Gerald Machnee says:

Oops, I did not notice, it was a Con map.

        • AndyG55 says:

Whenever jimbo is concerned, look for some sort of CON, SCAM, LIE or DIS-INFORMATION

          Those are his only tactics.

          • Griff says:

whereas you take the more reasonable approach in argument of SHOUTING and calling everyone ‘bedwetters’.

Ah me… quite reminds me of kindergarten…

          • AndyG55 says:

The mindless griff yaps like a chihuahua

How’s your constant bed-wetting going, griff?

DO you DENY that you are constantly wetting your bed about Arctic sea ice.

Certainly seems like it to everyone here.

(except jimbo, who probably helps you.)

Still using fossil fuel heating to dry the sheets??

          • AndyG55 says:

            “quite reminds me of kindergarten…”

last week is so far away for you, is it?

            Try reading your comments….

…. now there is true kindergarten stuff.

          • Griff says:

By heck, you should be speaking at the Oxford Union…

  4. garyh845 says:

Tony. Really appreciate that you also presented the graphics you prepared in the other post today. Sure beats taking screen shots from the video. Cheers.

  5. GW Smith says:

No one can beat you, Tony! Thanks a million!

  6. Tom van Leeuwen says:

Thanks a lot Tony for all your good work.

What you show here about NASA tampering the data and then ‘fixing’ it is absolutely shocking! How is it possible I did not read about this on other sites?

This changes all! How much absurd policy decisions (IPCC, Paris) have been based on those fake graphs? How much damage has been done to human development because of this cheating?

  7. Robertv says:

The United States believes that the Northern sea route should be a thoroughfareopen to the entire world community. This was stated by TASS, the commander of the US Coast guard Admiral Paul Zukunft.

He confirmed that the American Armed forces still did not intend to conduct Arctic operations, defending the principle of freedom of navigation, just as it happens in the South China sea.

“Currently, there is no pressure directed to conduct exercises to ensure freedom of navigation in the Arctic. However… the approach of the US is that the Northern sea route should be open as an international corridor for water, if you will, a transit pass, as soon as we see the area liberated from ice. But now there is no established plan for conducting exercises to ensure the freedom of navigation [in the area],” said the American commander.
