Show this to a climate alarmist and guess who they see as the bad guy?

Where do these idiots get these crazy ideas? Oh yeah, models.

The lowest suicide rates in the world are concentrated in the Caribbean Islands of the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grenada, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda. Suicide is almost unheard of in each of these countries, with Grenada and Barbados reporting 0.5 and 0.4 suicides per 100k, respectively.

    UK news last week.

“Official figures from the Office for National Statistics show there were 4,383 male suicides in 2017, a rate of 15.5 per 100,000 – down from over 20 in the late 1980s.
The suicide rate among women, 4.9 per 100,000, has remained stable for the past 10 years.”

Global News is probably one of the worst news programs to hype Climate Change…even more that CBC….a local new radio station here in Calgary was basically taken over by global….I stopped listening to them, as they have gone over to the dark side.

  5. Bruce of Newcastle says:

90 F or 32 C is pretty good cycling weather if humidity is reasonable. I tend not to go out on treadly if the temperature is above 35 C, but I expect to do a fair few km when the temperature is in the low 30s C this summer.

The US Army guys who used to patrol in Baghdad at 50 C in full kit might have something to say about the adaptability of humans. But I suppose Americans and Aussies are different from Canadians.

  6. Cam says:

Meanwhile, this morning on the Global Vancouver weather report, every region in BC is below average temperature today and for the next 3. The Peace River region is going to have a high temp 13c below average and have snow forecast on Wednesday.

  7. John F. Hultquist says:

Montana, one of the coldest states, has the highest rate.

Older Caucasian men have significantly higher suicide rates than any other demographic group in the United States. A high % use guns. Researchers seem not to understand this. I guess they are not very smart. The researchers, I mean.

Lastly, the couple from Argentina (he 56, her 23) killed a son, but the baby girl (apparently) lived. [” the child is out of danger and should make a good recovery”]

  8. MrGrimNasty says:

You could guess a lot of reasons that contribute to suicide levels, but higher temperatures could not more clearly, clearly, not be a factor.

Countries with economic prosperity, high quality of life, and political freedom, seem to have the lowest suicide rates, all things that the CAGW proponents want to take away.
