What do they mean, no one was hurt? It smashed the forest, and its reflective body is causing Global Cooling. Let me just alter the data for you to prove it.
2 more € million gone with the wind.
It seems that there was a previous collapse of a Nordex wind turbine in Ireland in 2015, caused by an overspeed in normal wind speed conditions.

These monstrosities appear to be made out of papier mache and aluminium foil by the look and extent of the debris. But I guess they only have to last long enough to get the EU grant money!
A heavily redacted report on it here:-

Wow. They even erased the bits about █████████ and ██████████████████.

Old man fossil to the rescue!
I like wind and solar. For off-grid homes and as a supplement to new modern nuclear plants that need to be built. maybe that monstrous tower was too top-heavy?
Wouldn’t a top heavy mill break at the top where the structure is much thinner
and the main weight is located than at the bottom ?
I’d guess vibrations may have caused it.
