Kerry Blames Global Warming And Israel For Rise Of ISIS… | Weasel Zippers
John Kerry says that global warming at 400 PPM CO2 produced drought and ISIS. This is a familiar theme, because in 1941 experts said that global warming at 310 PPM CO2 produced Hitler.
In 1974, the CIA said that global cooling at 330 PPM CO2 caused drought and political instability.
21 Jul 1976 – C.I.A. WARNING Changes to climate to bring uphea…
The chart below sums this up.
- Global warming heat at 310 PPM CO2, and global cooling cold at 330 PPM CO2, occur at the same temperature.
- The symptoms of global warming and global cooling are identical.
- Global warming used to be cold, but now global warming is hot.
- Brutality has nothing to do with the level of CO2 in the atmosphere.
- Climatologists are complete morons who understand absolutely nothing about science, history or logic.
Sort of correct. If the last Ice Age hadn’t thawed, we humans might have perished–most certainly wouldn’t have become the dominant species on the planet. In 1744 Pierre Martel published the theory of ice ages based on his research in the Alps. Scientific inquiry eventually set the end of the last Ice Age at approximately 11,000 years ago–a lack of precision unacceptable to today’s Global Warming mob. They’ll give you an exact day, date and hour GMT that stray carbon dioxide molecules created by human activities thawed the glaciers overnight, leading to the extinction of those cute wooly mammoths and saber-tooth tigers. And it happened in an instant!
Adolf Hitler was born within a few days of Charlie Chaplain in 1889–oh, that global warming! Created Charlie Chaplin, too! Is this proof of time travel? Did carbon atoms from a thousand years in our future travel back in time like tiny Terminators to warm Planet Earth?
Or have the elite been smoking too much dope?
“….They’ll give you an exact day, date and hour GMT that stray carbon dioxide molecules created by human activities thawed the glaciers overnight, leading to the extinction of those cute wooly mammoths and saber-tooth tigers. And it happened in an instant!…..”
…………
Careful with that claim. Dr Alley showed climate switch abruptly from its cold to its warm state in just one year as shown in the Greenland Ice Core, GISP2 No Human intervention needed.
This is also reported in “Abrupt Climate Change – Inevitable Surprises”, Committee on Abrupt Climate Change, National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences ( 2002 ) Dr. Richard B. Alley chair.
In 1999 Alley was invited to testify about climate change by Vice President Al Gore. In 2002, the NAS (alley chair) published The above book
. From the opening paragraph in the executive summary:
So way back in 1999 Al Gore and the rest of the FRAUDSTERS were well aware that the climate can switch from glacial ice age cold to interstatial warm ” with startling speed” WITHOUT human SUVs!
I agree that brutality has nothing to do with the level of CO2 and that those ideas are at leas naive. In my oppinion (and not only mine) one thing is for sure: naval warfare during the two World Wars determined two major climate changes: a sustained warming which started at the end of World War I and lasted 20 years, and the next climatic shift which started during the winter 1939/40 and caused a four-decades global cooling. The extensive fighting at sea was a real threat for the normal course of the climate. I have read a thesis on http://www.1ocean-1climate.com“, in which the ocean’s main role in the climate change is explained.
Not this tripe again.
Have you ever been to sea? If you had you would realize how insignificant the effects of man are on a body so large.
I’m almost convinced that this whole CAGW bullsh*t is King Canute syndrome. People have absolutely no idea just how insignificant humans are in the earths climate cycle.
Must make a note of this particularly unique form of complete and utter claptrap. I’ve got to hand it to you – this definitely scores 10/10 for originality. So, let me see if I have read and understood your point correctly…according to you, the current global concern with climate change is completely misplaced and totally unwarranted because the human race is such a tiny, insignificant species in the wider scheme of things that nothing it does could possibly influence the global climate cycle. Is this a fair assessment of your views?
You have forgotten to include in this neat little theory the fact that the human race, the most (in evolutionary terms) successful and adaptable organism on the planet, who has successfully managed to inhabit every single different environment and geographical region – from desert to polar ice cap – on the planet and has developed CO2 spilling industries which span entire continents. So much for an ‘insignificant’ species. What you have also forgotten to factor into your theory is some basic, high school level knowledge of simple physics which can best be expressed in the following simple formulae: –
(1) CO2 leads, ultimately, to artificial rates of climate change if produced in sufficient quantities. (2) Mankind has, after just a few decades of unprecedented carbon/fossil fuel based industrialisation, produced more CO2 than can be produced naturally (ie by nature) in several millennia. (3) The result of this is that the ‘insignificant’ species of Man has yielded a major, extremely significant effect on every other environmental & climate process on the planet which will,if unchecked, produce massive damage to both human societies across the globe and the rest of the natural world.
Very good argument leedsjon1. Almost convincing. What you left out of your simple physics calculation is that humans only cover 1/3 of the earth. the other 2/3 are oceans and water. So as good of argument as you have there, I highly doubt with all the rain etc. that CO2 will fill the air over the 2/3 of the planet covered by ocean.
Historically, depending upon which graph you look at, the worlds climate has changed over time. Remember the ice age? Well, now we’re getting warmer, in fact, just read an article that we have been cooling over the last decade…

So, who do we believe?
For winter 2015/16 NOAA forecasts temperatures well above mean. 1939 was also an El Niño year, but Europe suffered under the coldest winter for 100 years. http://oceansgovernclimate.com/el-nino-shaping-europes-winter/. It did not came from heaven, or fighting in Europe’s waters was the likely cause?
Obama’s election makes perfect sense now!
German soldiers spent winter in Russia in 1941
https://youtu.be/j38iiujB16I
So it was because of global warming.
Global warming did not exactly help Hitler in Russia, did it?
It is also amazing that crackpots in 1941 were spewing the same nonsense as they do now. Even then, they must have smelled money with climate fraud.
Steven, global warming has made the drought in Syria and Iraq bigger, longer and drier. It was one cause of the war in Syria. That war has assisted the nefarious efforts of ISIS. That is what Kerry, and everyone else who talks about this, is talking about. I’m not surprised you didn’t understand them.
I still find it absolutely amazing that global warming can do all these things…without changing the temperature
Martin Smith says: “…Steven, global warming has made the drought in Syria and Iraq bigger, longer and drier…..”

This is absolutely and unequivocally WRONG. You are not aware that we are still in an Ice-Age. Aridity and expansion of arid regions is one of the effects of an ice-age climate. The medeival, and Roman warm periods saw a more vibrant, wetter climate in the Levant, as evidenced by ancient Roman bridges that now span across mostly dry river beds and dry-wash stream beds.
Granted, we are only in an interglacial period, but still an ice-age, and very close to the end of the interglacial! Kerry, and everyone else who talks about climate change in to-a-warmer-one sense, have no idea what they are talking about. So, I am not surprised (based on many of your other comments on this site) that you think they know what they are talking about.
It is a colder climate that holds less moisture in the atmosphere, and a warmer one that has greater capacity to distribute more rainfall around the worlds climate zones. But you wouldn’t know this because you don’t know how to research, otherwise you would not have posted such an idiotic statement as, “Steven, global warming has made the drought in Syria and Iraq bigger, longer and drier. It was one cause of the war in Syria. etc.”
Really. Do some research! or just stfu.
lectrikdog,
I doubt that Martin Smith understands why a tea kettle boils given the DUMB comments he continues to make. Therefore the idea of MORE energy from the sun = MORE evaporation = MORE rainfall is completely beyond his ability to understand.
Therefore Martin would have ZERO understanding of a paper such as this:
Solar forcing of the Indian summer monsoon variability during the Ållerød period September 2013
Or this paper:
Simulation of the Indian monsoon and its variability during the last millennium
Gail: Excellent research and comments. You’ve obviously collected a lot of good information.
Well no the problems in Syria have much more to do with rapid population growth
Year Population in millions
1950 3.5
1970 6.3
1990 12.1
2010 23
Having population doubling every generation in a country with an arid climate, poorly performing economy and limited food supply is a recipe for disaster. The cities are full of disaffected young people with no jobs, over 20% of young people there could not find work.
Sucker.
Global warming caused the brutal dictatorship in Syria. It must be a fact, because it was typed out.
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014/05/syria-climate-years-living-dangerously-symbolia
Actually the gradual cooling and return to desert conditions caused the brutal dictatorships.
Ancient Egypt
It is suggested that the gradual drying out of northern Africa followed by agriculture and then the need for irrigation canals may have been a driving force in going from hunter-gatherer to farming villages to empires. — “The Ancient Engineers” L. Sprague de Camp
Is it just possible that the war in Syria has something to do with a deteriorating standard of living, connected with the fact that the population increased, from 1990 to 2008, from 13 million to 21 million?
There is no evidence of deterioration of living conditions in Syria. People were fedup with system, Arab spring and all that spread like fire in most Arab world, well except Arabia itself. Then later external actors shiites vs sunni war etc intervened.
Because of global warming the contrails of jet planes, flying above 27,000 feet, linger in the sky for hours and amass into large clouds, even though the sky may have been perfectly clear before.
‘in 1941 experts said that global warming at 310 PPM CO2 produced Hitler.’
Indeed? And for supporting evidence to back up this outlandish claim, you reproduce an extract from a newspaper quoting the views of just 1 single scientist (who, as a professor of ‘experimental medicine’ would not seem to be eminently qualified to comment on any matter relating to climate science but perhaps that’s just nitpicking) ! You are probably correct, however, in looking back through history to see how modern trends – like quoting the views of an exceptionally small sample of scientists and misrepresenting them as the ‘majority’ of scientific opinion – may have their roots in events which happened several decades ago. And then, using an equally irrational method, you highlight vast arrays of statistical data – which will be largely meaningless to anyone not trained in advanced statistical analysis/a.k.a. much of the general public you attempt to hoodwink with such methods – as evidence for your infamous battle cries of ‘conspiracy’, ‘deception’, ‘lies’ etc. The only positive coming out of the Hitler article that I can detect is that it correctly identifies the principle, now being commented on by some of our present scientists and policy makers, that climate change may result in various levels of economic deprivation between different regions and nations leading to conflict.
leedsjon1 says: ” ‘in 1941 experts said that global warming at 310 PPM CO2 produced Hitler.’
Indeed? …..”
>>>>>>>>>>>>
It is know as sarcasm. Steven is often very sarcastic.
I seem to remember something called the Arab Spring. This sort of started in Tunisia and spread to other Arab countries, including Syria. Were all these revolts caused by droughts caused by global warming? Wikipedia even goes as far as to say, “Some observers have drawn comparisons between the Arab Spring movements and the Revolutions of 1989 (also known as the “Autumn of Nations”) that swept through Eastern Europe and the Second World, in terms of their scale and significance.” Were the Revolutions in Eastern Europe also caused by droughts caused by global warming? Let’s go even further back. France 1968. Got to have been caused by droughts caused by global warming, n’est ce-pas? Funny though how the droughts of the 1980s which lead to famine in Ethiopia didn’t lead to any world-wide terrorism.
You guys forget your history.
1923 Weimar inflation. Debasement of currency, hyper inflation, money printing in excelsis, these notes then burned as fuel (best use for them) creating excess warmth, CO2, etc in Germany.
!934 No more money to burn. Germany gets cold. Hitler elected to office. Turns up the heat. Builds crematories to remove Jews. Germany gets hot.
1941 Hitler attacks Sovjet Union, which has remained cold. Gets fingers burned.
1943/45 Allies bomb shit out of Germany. Gets hot. Hitler deserts “his” people, suicides.
1945 on – cold war.
Media also get to be “hot” and “cold” – see Marshall McLuhan. Youth prefer to be “cool”.
See, it’s all clear as mud. Meteorologists canlook ahead five days- not hundreds of years. They got bigger, better computers to calculate the weather better, and tried to do “30 day forecasts” – no better than monkeys throwing darts. Too embarrassing, they had to stop. So it’s still only FIVE day forecasts for you.
But government enhanced (pseudo) “scientists” can stand on a pile of shit and see further ahead than mere mortals, – and UNO “scientists” are even better – because they can mendacify in many more languages, e.g. Gorese.

The civil war and conflict in Syria happened because the oil ran out.
For a few decades they exported far more oil than the country used. That paid for the growing population and food when drought caused crop failure for local agriculture. It was a resource that provided the Syrian economy with most of its income.
Just before the civil war there was drought, displacing 10% of the population from the land to shanty towns in the cities. But this time there was no money from oil to subsidies food prices, or even to buy enough. The drought was widespread enough to have pushed up grain prices.
When a government is incapable of feeding the people they tend to rebel. Telling them to eat cake dosen’t work.
There was a drought before the French revolution too…
there is mounting evidence that in the Spring of 1206 the reign of Genghis Kahn was a result of global warming and climate change during the Medieval Warm Period.
In about 1775, (my memory is not so good – so don’t bite my head off if the date is a bit off,): (thank you:) the cold weather in Versailles was enough to freeze the “Genever water” (gin) in its bottles, breaking the glass, inside the king’s palace. So, it was cold.Very. Within twenty years the king’s head came off, leading to the Napoleonic Wars. The ensuing carnage was carried out by the large scale discharge of humungous quantities of gunpowder, raising the air and surface twmperatures round every battlefield – and there were many of these. That put an end to the little Ice Age – which doubtless caused the Crimean and American civil wars, as well as the Great War of La Plata.
Right now I am feeling cold. Perhaps I should go out and start a fight. Or go home and have a hot rum toddy, and then get heated, and go out and start another fight.
