These two cartoons effectively capture the climate change consensus.

Today will be one of the coldest May 9ths on record in the US.  The two hottest occurred in 1895 and 1896.

Arizona had their record heatwave in 1896. Parker, Az had seven consecutive days over 120 degrees, a record only matched in 1905.

January, 1896 was the hottest month on record in New South Wales.

Europe was hot in 1896.

17 Jul 1896 – HEAT-WAVE IN EUROPE.

A ten day heatwave during August 1896 killed thousands of people in the US, many of them in New York.

That was also an important year for global warming junk science.

As early as in 1896, Swedish physicist Arrhenius proposed that the presence of atmospheric greenhouse gases may result in warmer surface temperatures on Earth than a simple radiative balance would imply. A comparison between measured surface temperatures and estimated effective temperatures (assuming the planets behave like black bodies and are at radiational equilibrium) of the planets in our solar system has later revealed that planets with thick atmospheres, such as Venus and Earth, have a warmer surface than a simple radiation equilibrium can explain (Houghton 1991). After 125 years of fact-free global warming group think, scientists now say global warming causes an “early spring.”

The record cold and snow outside my door disagrees with 97% of junk climate scientists.

On this date in 1895, three quarters of the US was above 80F. Ninety degree temperatures were recorded in Minnesota, Maine and much of the Midwest. One hundred degree temperatures were reported in Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma, and Arizona was over 110F.

This year, they are still skiing in Arizona.  Latest skiing on record there.

Record cold in Boulder today. Local experts at NCAR and NOAA believe the atmosphere is overheated.

Savannah Sellers from MSNBC will be delivering the CU Boulder commencement address today in a snowstorm and record cold. Last week she suggested that students should skip school because global warming means they they have no future anyway.

Today’s forecast high of 39 degrees would shatter the old cold record of 45 degrees set in 1917, and is 49 degrees cooler than 1916.

She also is a big gun confiscation advocate. There was a school shooting in nearby Highlands Ranch on Tuesday committed by two Trump-hating progressive children – who apparently  believed they had no future. Very similar to the 2013 Arapahoe High School shooting by an Obama supporter, not long after Michelle Obama spoke at the school.

Progressives certainly know how to motivate students.

January-April 1910 averaged six degrees warmer than this year at Parker, Arizona. In 1910 they reached 100 degrees on March 5, and 110 degrees on April 27.  This year the first 100 degree reading occurred on April 28.

Eight years ago, a tree fell on a power line near Los Alamos, New Mexico and started a large fire.

The burn area is filling in with maple, oak and aspen.  I took these pictures today of the global warming devastation in the burn area. The horror of replacing scrawny, overgrown pine trees with beautiful deciduous trees!

Northern New Mexico had massive forest fires in the 1890s.

As a result of those fires, there are now giant Aspen groves. CO2 was below 300 PPM in 1890.

None of the US is currently experiencing severe drought. CO2 is at 410 PPM.

Compare with May, 1934 – when half of the US was experiencing severe or extreme drought. CO2 was 310 PPM.

The drought was worldwide.

But since 1988, scientists have been 99% certain droughts are caused by CO2 levels above 350 PPM.

And since then, the US has been having the wettest years on record.
