Someone forgot to put out the sign that says “Larsen Shelf here” Damn lazy penguins.
I take it we’re missing it because it’s buried under ice and snow?
I take it weโre missing it because itโs buried under ice and snow?
or alternately, because advancing glaciers have pushed it out to sea ๐
Peterhodges,
Because advancing glaciers pushed it out to sea? Do you even have a clue about the cause of the larsen collapse? The glaciers advanced AFTER because the ice shelves were holding back the glaciers.
Was that intended to be a joke? The reason the ice shelf existed was because of forward movement/pressure of the glacier.
lol, I had to read it twice! Clear usually comes a bit stronger than that. But yeh, nowadays, I look at where some of the ice has reformed and only sigh at the thoughts of what could have been.
Made me laugh.
ME THREE! ๐
