Obama continues his unprecedented Soviet style purge of top military brass, taking out a couple more on trumped up charges.
Two United States admirals, including the Navy’s chief intelligence officer, were stripped of their access to classified information on Friday after being implicated in a contracting scandal that federal prosecutors are investigating in San Diego.
The accusations against the two officers — Vice Adm. Ted Branch, the director of naval intelligence, and Rear Adm. Bruce Loveless, the director of intelligence operations — signal a significant escalation in the investigation and show its widening impact on the Navy.
Admirals Branch and Loveless have been accused of “inappropriate conduct” in connection with the scandal, Rear Adm. John F. Kirby, the Navy’s chief of information, said in a statement Friday night. Investigators had so far named only midlevel Navy officers accused of accepting visits from prostitutes and lavish trips — and in one instance $100,000 in cash — from Leonard Francis, a Malaysian contractor.
Navy officials said the allegations against Admirals Branch and Loveless involved personal misconduct in accepting gifts or services from Mr. Francis, the nature of which could have exposed them to blackmail. But, the officials said, there was no sign at this point that the admirals had done anything for Mr. Francis that might lead to bribery charges against them.
Obama survives massive scandal after massive scandal of his own making, while he trumps up fake charges of “misconduct” against any officers who disagree with him. And the press corpse goes along blindly supporting the Obama coup.
Vice Adm. Ted Branch was appointed to his current rank of Vice Admiral in July 2013 at the same time he assumed office as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance (N2/N6), the Department of the Navy Deputy Chief Information Officer (Navy), and the 65th Director of Naval Intelligence.
Prior to being appointed to Vice Adm., Branch served as a naval aviator. His operational assignments include Light Attack Squadrons 15 and 37, USS Forrestal (CV 59), and Strike Fighter Squadron 37. He served as executive and commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 15, executive officer in USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), commanding officer in USS Coronado (AGF 11) and USS Nimitz (CVN 68), and commander of Carrier Strike Group One/Carl Vinson Strike Group. During those tours, Branch deployed with both the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets and has logged combat time in A7s and F18s over Grenada, Lebanon, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Iraq. He participated in Operations Urgent Fury, Earnest Will, Southern Watch, Deliberate Force, Iraqi Freedom, and led the initial Navy efforts for Haiti earthquake relief in Operation Unified Response.
Ashore, Branch has served as an instructor in the A7 and F18 Fleet Replacement Squadrons, the Joint Staff in Washington, completed Navy Nuclear Power Training, served as executive assistant to the Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet, Director of Operations and Plans (N31) on the Chief of Naval Operations staff in Washington, and Commander of Naval Air Force Atlantic.
Branch is a native of Long Beach, Miss. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1979 and earned a master’s degree in International Relations from the Naval War College in Newport, R.I.
Branch’s decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Strike Flight Air Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat “V”, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
It’s not much like Stalin’s purges. Stalin would have had them all shot! In fact, Stalin had 300 of his commanders shot on a single day, during the middle of a major battle!
Obama has fired about a dozen generals and admirals for various reasons and/or excuses. But there are nearly a thousand generals and admirals in the U.S. military. Firing a dozen of them hardly makes a dent.
While I agree with most of what you have said. You had better go double check your numbers as I believe Obama’s count is over 200 during his presidency.
The message is clear and disturbing to those still in the armed services. Any more apologist tripe?
The Fabians prefer the pen to the sword, for their revolution.
“I love the smell of purges in the morning!”
“What was that Mr. President?”
He probably learnt from another sociopathic President from the continent of his birth.
Nasser went through numerous Vice Presidents over his tenure. Same as Stalin, or Augustus Ceasar, Nasser would purge any who could be a threat. Obama gets rid of potential threats now and to any future progressive Presidents.

For a moment there I wasn’t sure if you were talking about Mengistu, Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin or Mobute Sese Seko – but any would do.
I don’t think Dear Leader is worried about “future progressive presidents” – the thinking is much more short term than that. Once he has reduced everything to smouldering rubble, he wants to make sure that there is no-one left standing that can turn the water or electricity back on.

Just wait until they have the absolute power. The USA will be Bongo Bongo Land.

What’s the big deal?
I’ve been to Bongo Bongo land – I’ve got a stamp in my passport that says so. It was issued at the Enid Blyton International Airport.
The boy-king seems gifted in promoting dark forces.
In older times one would believe that he has sold his soul to the devil…
…but for what evil purpose and where will it end ?
I am curious as to why Zero in Chief would be doing this. I don’t see how this could turn out well for him in the long run. Should shit really hit the fan, all of those experience and seasoned military personnel would surely side with his opposition (us). Boy-king’s opposition would then be equipped with some of the best military commanders in the world.
I just don’t see how this can work out well for Zero in the long run.
I just wonder what “some of the best military commanders in the world” are going to achieve from outside the tent without any hardware or ordnance at their disposal?
Adolf Hitler had “some of the best military commanders in the world” who were openly against everything that he stood for – even tried to blow him up once or twice – and all to no avail. And they were inside the tent.
More than 320 million weapons in the hands of private individuals. All military hardware is designed and created by private industry in this country. All of that military hardware that our gov. has can be easily taken away. All the fuel the gov. has it controlled by private industry. All of the ammunition manufacturing is provided by private industry. All the transportation is provided by private industry. So what that little Barry Bullshit character has is 2700 light armored vehicles, 7000 automatic weapons and 1.6 billion rounds of ammo. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t going to help the little dictator in chief a whole hell of a lot. Hell, judging my the competency shown so far, I think Zero should have ordered up about 16 billion rounds of ammo. I think they are going to blow throw the first 1.6 billion without even hitting anything. Personally, I welcome little Mr. Dictator to give it a go .. this will all be over before sundown and we can begin to rebuild a constitutional republic again.
What Hitler had that Zero doesn’t, (and I don’t think he will ever get now), is an almost unanimous backing from his populace. Hitler didn’t have nearly the inside resistance that Zero will face (and is facing). I guess I have more faith in my countrymen in that they will fight beside me to the death in order to protect our families and communities from such a totalitarian takeover. No matter how hard Zero tried, I don’t think there is anyway in hell he could pull off such a feat.
Hell, he can’t even build a fucking website … are you kidding me?
Until this dipshit in chief shows an ounce of competency, I’m not too worried about a “takeover”. I am worried about the damage he is doing however. It is going to take many years and a lot of effort to cleanup his damage. But takeover, nah … not going to happen.
“Dipshit in chief” … thanks for my morning giggle 😉
@squid
Good luck with that one. I think I have that movie on VHS (or Beta-max, more likely) somewhere out in the garage.
Every day when I read the papers I just shake my head in disbelief. Lie after lie, scandal after scandal, outrage after outrage – and ask myself: “What will it take to get these people outraged?” The entire population is routinely spied on by their own home-grown Gestapo and brutalised and tortured by their own Brown-shirts. As far as I can tell, the only thing that brings anybody out on the streets to protest is in support of “gay marriage”. Face facts my friend – the country is well and truly screwed – and in all the wrong places at that. What you suggest just ain’t going to happen any time soon.
In fact it is hard to see the difference in mood between now and 1930s Germany. When the railroad carriages show up to move people to the resettlement caps in the East, people will get on them if they are equipped with wide-screen TVs.
But don’t take my word for it – here’s a rather long and interesting article that goes into this in a bit more depth:

Obama’s hanlders have been purging dissidents for a while.

If I’m not mistaken, he is over 200 purges for his presidency. Unprecedented.
“Will no one rid me of this turbulent
priestadmiral?”
