Democrats Knew That Obama Was Lying, And Continue To Lie About It

While appearing on Sunday’s edition of ABC’s “This Week,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., admitted Democrats in the Senate knew Obama lied when he said Americans could keep their insurance, but that was apparently secondary to women’s health issues.

“Do you feel misled by Obama?” Martha Raddatz asked.

Gillibrand responsed by saying that Obama “should have been more specific.”

“So were you misled?” Raddatz asked in a follow-up.

No,” Gillibrand said. “We all knew.”

Obamacare retains private insurance, but with many new mandates of things they have to cover. Gillibrand is giddy about the newly required “women’s health” mandates. These requirements add to the cost of insurance. The Demtards trumpet “affordable” care, while perforce raising the price. Duh.

I saw some college students on TV last night. They were distraught over what Obama has done to them. What’s coming is they will have to pay $3,000 for health insurance next year. These people were bordering on destitute; they don’t have $3,000 to give. That they may get a tax rebate in 2015 is of little consequence. Washington assumes everyone has the working capital to carry Washington’s designs on them.

    • As I have said many times, Obamacare is a rich man’s law, and a poor man’s tyranny.

The true beauty of Obamacare is that it has unmasked “Uncle Sugar” as a complete fraud who robs Peter at gun-point to buy Paul’s support.

Those college students will not forget these lessons.

Nor will those who have seen their premiums skyrocket because “government knows best”.

And I doubt many of the folks who are seeing their current insurance cancelled despite the “promises” will be in a forgiving mood.

As a result, a much larger percentage of the population now knows how to tell when O-Bomb-Ya is lying. (Hint: his lips move when he’s doing it!) Unfortunately, the lesson was a financially painful one for most of the newly educated.

So, all-in-all, I consider Obamacare a complete success!!

They will get no tax rebate because the IRS will take their fine out of their rebate.

    • Gamecock says:

I’m not sure you understand. People buying health insurance through the healthcare.gov who qualify for a subsidy will GET NO SUBSIDY. It’s another lie. The so-called subsidy is a tax rebate, which will occur in the next year.

You are correct that, if they don’t buy health insurance, the fine tax will be taken from the subsequent year’s tax refund, if they qualify for one. My point is that poor people will have to produce a lot of cash to get “affordable” health care, which would have been more affordable had the feds not piled on requirements. They didn’t buy it at today’s prices, and are being forced to buy it at tomorrow’s higher prices.

      Government gone mad.

      • Mike D says:

I’m not so sure about that. I used to think it was just tax rebates or lower tax payments throughout the year. But the website roll out is so messy because they are jumping through big hoops to verify people’s income.. They also were at one point not going to verify income for a year which would not even been needed if it were all through tax returns. Which likely means they will directly pay the insurers every month for the subsidized amount, rather than the person paying it all.

I expect that the regular tax return process is available to get a subsidy and also to try to claw back erroneously received subsidies, but I do not believe that is the primary method of doing it. If it were, then all they would have to do is have simple tables to tell people what the subsidy amounts were without needing to try to verify things from dozens of government agencies.

        • Gamecock says:

You may be right about the subsidy. I did see today a story that says the government will in fact send a monthly amount to the insurance company. I have seen other stories that say it will just be an income tax credit.

        • Gamecock says:

I found this official looking website:

          http://obamacarefacts.com/obamacare-subsidies.php

It does say that you can get subsidies paid to the insurance company monthly.

I don’t see it going well, though. What if people don’t pay their premiums? What if they claim too high an advance tax credit? Why is government involved with this?

        • Hew Manatee says:

Why is government involved with this?
          Why?
Authoritarian governments aren’t happy unless they are micro-managing every little detail of people’s lives for them. That’s why.

The Slime-o-crats didn’t merely lie about not knowing…. the law to cancel all plans was presented by the WH, and occurred months after Obungocare was passed. They went out of their way to do it.

I believe this law will wipe out the middle class. people have talked about this for years yet no one listened. the one’s that did were called liars . it will cut job hours and cut jobs. it’s now a benefit not to be married ! some people will need to lose income, so they can lower their insurance prices. the dems have a big problem now, when people have to pay more money for something they already had and lost, there is a steep price to pay. see, you can do or say anything to Americans, and chances are they won’t hear you between their t.v’s going full blast and yacking on their phones 24/7 , but the second you make them pay more money for something they already had, you get their attention !
