Hansen Announces That Solar And Wind Power Are Useless

SolarScam

Open letter to environmentalists and world leaders says wind and solar power are not enough to diminish carbon emissions

Some of the world’s top climate scientists say wind and solar energy won’t be enough to head off extreme global warming, and they’re asking environmentalists to support the development of safer nuclear power as one way to cut fossil fuel pollution.

Four scientists who have played a key role in alerting the public to the dangers of climate change sent letters Sunday to leading environmental groups and politicians around the world. The letter, an advance copy of which was given to the Associated Press, urges a crucial discussion on the role of nuclear power in fighting climate change.

The letter signers are James Hansen, a former top NASA scientist; Ken Caldeira, of the Carnegie Institution; Kerry Emanuel, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Tom Wigley, of the University of Adelaide in Australia.

Environmentalists are terrified of nuclear power and fossil fuels, and now their heroes tell them that their only remaining hope is also useless. Time for Kool-Aid?

Why didn’t Hansen tell Obama about this before he invested billions in useless failed green energy companies scams?

That would explain why the DOE has been the primary funder of the CAGW scare campaign all along.

  2. Pathway says:

These companies only failed the tax payer. Most of these guy were bundlers for The Little Dictator. So really it was just a money laundering scam.

    • David A says:

Yes indeed; I would like to see a list of contributions from these companies. I also would like to see an accounting trail of their bankruptcy, as many went broke amazingly soon after receiving currency debasement (QE) funds.

  3. Because he is a lying basta*rd?

Apart from the Global Warming Scare it is really a good video to watch. Sometimes Hansen says the right thing.

And maybe his investments and pension is lock into funds relying on the nuclear power sector expanding.

  5. Olaf Koenders says:

When this scam unravels, Hansen will go from “top scientist” to bottom, like Geldoff.

  6. kuhnkat says:

Actually I think Hansen, like Mueller, has been in favor of Nukes and against wind and solar for quite a while. The media doesn’t carry that message as it isn’t part of their agenda.

  7. Aurora Svant says:

Wow, that list totals near 7.5 billions… That’s almost $150 for each taxpayer.
Go tell people that they were made to pay that much so far on just that little corner of the whole AGW scam…

  8. Søren Nielsen says:

Safe nuclear energy – thorium based energy. Who will be the first?

  9. Marushka says:

The total of the amounts above is about two years worth of the subsidies that nuclear industry receives every year in Japan (excluding the cash needed to prop up Tepco).
Tell me how much nuclear receives in USA… how much in oil subsidies?

WWS = Wind Water Solar — it is very feasible to switch to renewable energy infrastructure, there is no issue with mining hazardous materials, solar on every rooftop thinking solves a lot of transmission problems… the infrastructure already exists, no centuries long waste problem like nuclear, and the costs go down for renewable systems, and up and up for nuclear… many millions or even billions (depending on how bad contamination is — Fukushima – ongoing contamination forever damaging genomic stability) to decommission just ONE nuclear power plant!
