If You Like Your Second Amendment, You Can Keep Your Second Amendment

Last year, the totalitarian regime in Washington D.C. was telling us that gun registration does not lead to confiscation.

Confiscation

Sherrie Questioning All: The gun grabbers always say “Registration does not lead to Confiscation.” Hmm… Seems New York is proving that WRONG – Confiscating weapons, registered in state. Letter proving it

  1. EW3 says:

So now only illegally owned rifles/shotguns will have more then 5 round magazines?
    Advantage goes to the criminals.

  2. Mike D says:

I’ve never heard any argument for registration. It was always thrown out there as a “common sense” measure, but no one in the media asked the follow up question of why do you need to do that?

  3. lanceap says:

    Same crap happened in canada

  4. It cannot legally be their business where the firearm is stored “outside the city of New York”…

    • Olaf Koenders says:

They’re using mere Statutes to achieve this, which are overruled by the Constitution. There’s no valid Law or Act that binds a flesh and blood human being to a Statute unless that human wishes to be so bound.

  5. Bob Greene says:

NYC will be a much safer place with all them death dealing .22lr rifles and their high capacity mags off the street. My Winchester Model 69, probably made 80 years ago comes with a 5-round mag, so it would be legal, but it is detachable and I suppose an evil person could figure out how to make a high cap mag for it.
Earlier in the week I got a phone call offering me real discounts on travel to NYC, I told the caller I hadn’t left anything there on my last visit 25 years ago that I needed to go back and get. Let’s hope we can keep this idiocy contained.

  6. Chuck says:

Its a fucking 10/22. Scumbag government.

  7. Bob Greene says:

Henry Repeating Arms makes great lever rifles which have magazines >5 rounds. They were in Brooklyn, but have moved to Bayonne. The way things are going in the great northeast, maybe they could be convinced to move to a more gun-friendly area.

  8. De Paus says:

The U.S. is rapidly turning into a police state. Alas Canada is not much better in respect of human rights and police brutality. Here you can watch a mentally ill man being shot dead by the police.

  9. craziguy369 says:

None of this will ever get reported in the Mainstream Media… so Individuals will be pressured, threatened, even arrested by the Sheriff’s Department if they refuse to comply… but per usual most people will just comply … so we lose more rights..

Hell, even the NYPD, State Troopers in NY and all the Local Police carry guns with more than 5 rounds… I’m sure there’s already been an exemption for that..

  10. Robert Austin says:

Limiting .22 rimfire to 5 rounds. This trumps even the firearms fascism of the previous Liberal government in Canada. Other than single shot, it is difficult to find a .22 that doesn’t hold more than 5 rounds.

  11. tom0mason says:

If you like your constitution the UN will let you keep your constitution –
    After it has been reinterpreted.

  12. Bob Knows says:

Never, ever, register your guns, register yourself as a gun owner, or get a license to posses a gun. Any such registration affirms your support of the theory that possession of arms is under government control rather than your rights, and identifies you as a target for gun grabbers. All registration and license schemes are a criminal violation of Amendment II.

    • Olaf Koenders says:

See my comment above. Bearing arms in your country is a right. The exercising of a right cannot be converted to a crime.

  13. Anthony S says:

Shoot, I like my First Amendment too. How long until I can keep that too?

  14. GoneWithTheWind says:

This is exactly what they did in Russia did in 1929 followed by the deaths of 40 million Russians in purges and intentional starvation. This is what Germany did in 1939 followed by the death of 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves. China established gun control in 1935, an estimated 50 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves against their fascist leaders, were arrested and exterminated. Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves from their dictatorial government, were arrested and exterminated. Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayans, unable to defend themselves against their ruthless dictatorship, were arrested and exterminated.
What do the Neo-communist Democrats plan for us?

  15. dutchman says:

In 2012 Canada officially scrapped its long rifle gun registry and destroyed the records having found after 20 years that it made no difference to crime rates. In addition magazine limits for non automatic weapons were eliminated. To buy guns and ammunition you need a two day course, a background check and it takes about 60 days. After that you are good to go. Automatic weapons and handguns require an additional course and test. It’s not onerous and seems to make everyone happy. Seems like a good middle ground?

    • People who play the knockout game will certainly follow any new gun restrictions too.

Why don’t they just make murder illegal? That would really make the gangs think about what they are doing.
