Harrison Schmitt is only scientist to have walked on the moon, and was the first scientist in space. He is also a prominent climate skeptic – and according to Barack Obama, a flat earther whom he doesn’t have time to debate.

SPACE C E N T E R, Houston (AP) – A spokesman at the Manned Spacecraft Center said today a memo has been prepared assigning all but one of the 13 scientist-astronauts to concentrated training in orbiting space stations. instead of lunar landing techniques.
This, most observers believe, means 12 of the astroscientists, who long have waited to get into space, will never have the chance to set foot on the moon.
The sole exception ls Harrison H. Schmitt, an astrogeologist formerly with the U.S. Geological Survey. Geologists are anxious for Schmitt to go to the moon to help gather information on its rocks and structure.
Later, while Obama was busy smoking choom and snorting cocaine in Hawaii, Schmitt was working in Washington DC as US Senator from New Mexico.
He nailed it for me with Plait, who shamelessly went on insulting Schmitt after having made a career of speaking with astrologers and ufologists.
You know when they don’t trust the science, as they develop a fear to debate.
