You are stretching reality, Steve. One can’t “buy Obamacare.” One could buy private insurance through the Obamacare created “exchanges,” if the damn thing worked. There is nothing stopping the insurance buyer from picking up the phone and calling insurance companies or agents directly, bypassing exchanges. Purchases through exchanges, which are surely exaggerated, do not include purchases independent of the exchanges. They could number millions; it’s not being reported.

Not exactly true. If all the website were doing is connecting people with the insurance company, it’d be working fine. But what it is doing is trying to figure out how much taxpayer money it can throw at someone, if any. That’s not just private insurance, but private insurance partially or fully paid for by the taxpayer.
But I can see them counting as any new purchase as an Obamacare win regardless of where it originates. Every renewal will soon become a new Obamacare policy as well.

Very twisted logic there. The policies must have specific features because of this law or they can not be sold at all, but because they are from a private insurer, you’re saying they’re not Obamacare policies.

The fascists have declared that private company policies must contain certain things, but that doesn’t make them government policies. Not any more than the fascist requirement that Shell put 10% ethanol in their gasoline would make it government gas.
Insurance companies, having received the government mandates, have raised their prices to cover the new requirements. Outlandish requirements like pre-existing conditions. The Dems assured them they’d be fine, as millions of young, healthy people would be signing up, and their low loss rate would cover the cost of all the new crap. Insurance companies may have even liked Obamacare, as they expected many new customers.
Millions of young, healthy people are not signing up. Guess what . . . premiums will not just double . . . they will quadruple within two years. The Obamacare scheme is not going to work . . . or . . . Obama will say, “We let the capitalists try to run health care, but they failed. It’s time for the government to take over and fix this.” This is what he has wanted from the git go. People losing their policies . . . prices going up . . . it’s working just like he wanted it to.

Don’t pretend politics in this country are consistent. The Democrats of yesterday are today’s GOP. Party lines are constantly changing, which is why I’m not going to attribute anything to a marginal party. What matters are the constituents, that is, the members of these parties, and their alignment (Left or Right). Yes, you are absolutely correct about the position of the Democratic party during slavery and segregation alike. However, the position of that party during this era was far right! The GOP originated as a progressive left wing party, and at this time the South was blue! Actually, almost every state that was blue during this period of bigotry is red today, and vice versa. One could go on, but you get the point, even if the media does not. Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns. No NRA member, or Tea Party member, or Republican conservatives were involved.”
Clearly Steve is in danger for merely speaking truth to “Democrats who believe”.
Not only do they seem to come unglued when confronted with facts, but a fair number number of them decide to settle the issue by eliminating the opposition….
I suppose the “Nobel Peace Prize” president kinda sets the tone with his talent for offing folks with drones, and nailing the rescue workers with the “double taps”……
