Defunding is a great idea for the UN, EPA, GISS, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture and on and on and on. Abolish the Supreme Court if they continue to ignore the 10th amendment.
Make that the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, the most important ones and naturally the most ignored.
Crimes against the Constitution ought to be a felony for federal politicians, officials and employees, period. That should mean ten years at Leavenworth and then lifetime probation with the right to vote rescinded. They would shape up very quickly in the District of Criminals were they held accountable.
This would necessitate a new set of Amendments first, one of which establishes a 4th branch of government, the CEA ( Constitutional Enforcement Agency ) that has plenary powers to investigate and prosecute and remove federal employees for crimes against the Constitution ( think of an FBI that polices the officials rather than the public ). When I say plenary, I mean exactly that. They would use all the same methods the feds already use against the people including computer spying, wiretaps, threats, hot lamps and toothpicks under their fingernails.
This is needed to correct the one large oversight of our founding fathers – their hope that the new government would be wise and honest enough to police themselves.
