And 10 years later we had “The Holy Virgin Mary” artwork (a Madonna adorned with elephant dung and sexually explicit photos) at the New York City-financed Brooklyn Museum of Art.
This was defended by then-First Lady Hillary Clinton: “Our feelings of being offended should not lead to the penalizing and shutting down of an entire museum.” Mrs Clinton changed her tune as secretary of state when she condemned an insensitive anti-Muslim video………’
IMO not nearly as insensitive as the artwork, and a quickly contrived Red Herring to avoid
illuminating the truth. And as with many current political events, the hope that concern of the event would simply evaporate. —-And if it doesn’t “At this point, what difference does it make?”
For some of us it will continue to make a significant difference, especially, if one Hillary decides to make a Presidential run.

They were correct. The media played into the lie and the public accept it. They were then awarded a win with the reelection of Obama for his second term.
Anybody analyzing the process and consequence now knows that lying is a successful strategy.
Morality, honesty and integrity are just “old school” worn out ideals for losers.
