Dessler says that Texas will be hot and dry for the rest of the century
The weather of the 21st century will be very much like the hot and dry weather of 2011. Giving extra credibility to this forecast is the fact that the weather extremes that we are presently experiencing were predicted in the first edition in 1995.
And like all predictions from the team, it was based on nothing but superstition.
Smith said the creek had reached its 100-year flood plain, a level not seen since 1991.

There’s a reason for cacti in Texas. It’s a naturally arid region thanks to its location. The Team thinks it should be like England.
You could drown in all that “permanent drought” 😉

Just cuz I could. 😉

Was I the only one to catch the irony of this statement and laugh?
Nope!
Half of Texas is pine forests and grassy plains. Most of the rest of it would only qualify as semi-arid at worst. I lived in Arlington during the 1980s. Twice a year I drove through West Texas. I had to survive big storms, baseball-sized hail, white Christmases, and once, glare ice from El Paso to just south of Ft. Worth on I-10 and I-20. I was snowed in at El Paso for three days one year because the interstate east of town was closed. Putting Texas and Colorado in permanent drought status is silly. Just one more reason I don’t trust anything published by NASA, NOAA, and EPA. Never did believe a thing the Obama administration had to say.
