In 2008, a cyclone killed 130,000 people in Myanmar and was barely mentioned by the press. That was in the days of “global warming”
Cyclone Nargis made landfall in Myanmar on Friday, 2 May 2008, sending a storm surge 40 kilometers up the densely populated Irrawaddy delta, causing catastrophic destruction and at least 138,000 fatalities. The Labutta Township alone was reported to have 80,000 dead, with about 10,000 more deaths in Bogale.
But now that global warming is officially “paused” – the climate racketeering team has changed the dialogue to try to convince the public that bad weather never happened before.
Shock News: BBC says climate alarmists have a “mood of realism” ahead of climate talks in Warsaw. I agree with the UNIPCC that says unicorns are real and look forward to having my first one as a pet.

Right, all over the news now in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium etc.
The typhoon is caused by AGW, There is a Climate Meeting in Warsaw this week, Time for Action… If let these Green Fascists get away with it we will be screwed from here to eternity.
Exactly – that was why Jeff Masters had to create the big lie about worst hurricane landfall ever – before the storm even made landfall. Had the first word been category 4, there wouldn’t have been any propaganda value.
Yes, but in the mean time we let Obama get away with side lining the democratic process. You accept a dictatorship or not.

Reblogged this on The Firewall.
Jeff Masters hadf extensive coverage of Cyclone Nargis on his blog, which can be found here :

The recurring theme appears to be blaming the Burmese government for the high death toll……
The thing about Nargis, is that for whatever strange reason, the Myanmar government provided, at best inadequate warning about the coming storm and certainly did not organize evacuation. People were caught unaware on the river banks and slaughtered. Then the government did not allow any international aid for quite some days. Galveston II.
It appears that the Philippine Government did not do a great job either.
Considering our government’s response to disasters lately, starting with Katrina, no government seems able to respond quickly and effectively. Late figures for Haiyan in the Philippines shows 630,000 displaced, 13,191 homes destroyed, and 447,000 people still in shelters. Already some communications are being restored in hard hit areas. In one province there has been reports of communist rebels robbing Red Cross relief supplies, trucks and all.
The president of the Philippines has asked for “sobriety” in reporting fatalities, complaining about the 10,000 dead figure. Government figures stood at 229 confirmed dead with 28 missing for their Sunday. It probably will rise, but I’m betting it doesn’t hit near 1,000.
Thanks for the video link. I was able to watch a program called “24 Hours” at that site, which was a an hour-long conglomeration of newscasts from on location, even in Tacloban. Heartbreaking to see the destruction, but if you just have to live on a coastline, it could happen at anytime to you. Of course, I’m sitting in Yuma on a branch of the San Andreas fault line writing this.
It would have been more enlightening, I’m sure, if I spoke tagalog.
fear is running out of excuses with AGW, N hemiphere is in for a deep freeze
