   There had been a nominal green movement in Germany for over a century before Adolph Hitler rose to power. A certain romanticism about nature and natural remedies was popular in much of the Western world at the turn of the century and such was no different in Hitler’s homeland. As their Fuehrer began to enact sweeping Nazi environmental laws from 1933 through 1935, those outside his inner circle assumed Hitler understood their cause and simply wanted to be their champion. It was only in the decade that followed the more naïve in Germany’s green movement finally realized what they had helped usher in.

   Political totalitarian environmentalism was born in the Third Reich. In fact the slogan of the Reich Nature Protection Act was, “it shall be the whole landscape.” By the mid-30s upwards of 70 percent of German greens were Nazi Party members. Nazi party member foresters and veterinarians were greater in number than medical doctors and teachers. Ironically the German Greens called themselves wandervogels (wandering free spirits) but became the foot soldiers of the Social Political Darwinism of the Nazis.

   The German Green movement survived WWII and eventually became the European Green movement and joined with other national movements to become the oppressive monster it is today.

     Now that’s a fascinating piece of history, tom0mason–thank you.

     I love getting fresh pieces of the puzzle; the edges are certainly well-defined at this point and as we all further our educations we’re seeing the center filled in…and the picture’s not pretty.
     If you haven’t already, Jim Marrs’ book Rise of the Fourth Reich makes a compelling case for the same theme–that Germany was defeated but National Socialism lived on, and propagated through the same original actors.

     It’s totally liberating though. I feel sorry for the ones who don’t want to learn the truth; out of fear, out of cognitive dissonance. Because once you’ve embraced it and gotten over the fear and disgust, you can ACT. Protect yourself and your family, spread the truth.
     A corny but true analogy–it’s that moment Neo first stops the agents’ bullets and sees the programming behind the agents in the Matrix.

   Charts like this are so depressing for BOzo. His mentor Billy “Bomb Thrower” Ayers said he needed to take out 25 million of us dumb ass rednecks in order to usher in the rainbows and skittle crapping unicorns of LibTopia. He can only claim partial credit for a few drone strikes and a few hundred brown folks south of the border with Fast and Furious that was supposed to take away our Gunz – the only thing between him and his 25,000(,000) place on that chart.

   Murder by police state in the US are rampant and rapidly increasing. They range from chasing down and murdering an unarmed mother on Pennsylvania Avenue to shooting a child in California who had a toy gun (Americans no longer have a right to own and bear even toy arms). Murder includes the retarded guy who “looked suspicious” in Spokane and the deaf wood carver who did not respond when “ordered” to drop his 2″ carving knife. The US does not keep or publish any statistics on murder boy police state, for obvious reasons. The article and the table it includes makes a grievous error by not including murder by US police state terrorists.

     You’re exactly right. That’s the stat I immediately noticed was missing: The hundreds of thousands of, perhaps millions, of civilians killed by the U.S. government since the Spanish-American War.

   Progressives will lie, cheat, and steal for their totalitarian dreams because they believe the ends justify the means. Most rational people see them simply as liars, cheats, and thieves. Occams razor, right? Is it any big mystery why this country is at an impasse with these gun grabbers, they are just an offshoot of the bigger problem.    The first time that I heard the phrase “Politically correct”, over 20 years ago, I thought to myself that it was another phrase that Goebels must have coined in his position as head of propaganda for the German National Socialists of the 1930s.
   Apparently I was wrong. That phrase was coined by the current group of national socialists that surround us.
