The question is worth an answer. You cannot fix a problem if you choose to lie about what the problem is. A good honest discussion of the facts is the only way to come to a real solution. Anyone with a brain could see the sudden reversal / change in the unemployment statistics meant that the fix was in for the election. It was a bit to obvious.
Still, it worked as the media jumped aboard the O-Bomb-Ya economy improvement boat and hyped the first term “progress”.
