Criminals are famous for following the law, and people who play the knockout game will certainly follow any new gun laws which are passed too.
But why not just make murder illegal? That would end Chicago’s crime problem almost immediately. Or Obama could simply make a speech asking people who look like they could be his son to stop hurting people.
If you like your knockout game, you can keep your knockout game.

Tsk, tsk, tsk! I am sure that you know there is already a law making murder illegal. What we really need is a law that makes breaking the law illegal! That’ll fix things…
On a more serious note, I have, over the years, come to the conclusion that it is impossible to argue rationally with so-called “Progressives.” Rational discussion with a Progressive is like trying to teach your dog how to do calculus. Rather than use rational arguments on a Progressive, you would be better served to just teach him to dance on his back legs for a cheese treat.
the next time a Progressive tells you that “all guns should be banned!” tell him that you are willing to meet him half way. Tell him that you will agree to ban guns to him and his family, but that you and yours will stay armed. If he disagrees, then ask him why he refuses to compromise.

A truism if I’ve ever heard one, that’s evident by the fact that some are uncomfortable with it.
Problem is though that progressives and neo-cons (“progressives” indeed are really neo-cons in sandals!) would have to make war illegal and that might make them have to acknowledge that the US Govt & US Military are the biggest carbon sources in terms of pollution on the planet.
