Democrats aren’t going to vote for the small government Tea Party because of its activist religious bent. The only hope therefore for smaller government is for Republicans to turn libertarian, but their Puritanism wont go there either. They can’t even leverage the Global Warming scam since their brand is already tainted by wanton attacks on the sciences of evolution, addiction, and stem cells. So even with God on their side in the form of mild weather, they help elect statists by fighting instead of joining the Tea Party.
The Tea Party is not a party, and has no religious affiliation. It is a movement whose only goals are smaller government and lower taxes. Quit spreading leftist lies. The Tea Party movement is Libertarian. .

As a Libertarian, I have no issue with true liberals or true conservatives because both believe in individual rights, it is the Progressives that look to enslave humanity through their community organizing.
