It is a remarkable skill. And it takes many generations of difficult training in warmongering, formenting political intrigues, and diplomatic back-stabbing to master. Europeans manage this feat while simultaneously trying to give the illusion of being on the moral high ground.
Europeans are still pretty new at not making war against themselves – only two generations removed, in fact. As Thatcher pointed out it was the English speaking world that rescued them from themselves twice in the last century. They now fancy themselves experts on the right and wrong of war, how to judge waring parties, and what is fair in love and war. Or so they think. Fact is they don’t get on any better than they ever did among themselves but they do put up a good unified front for purposes of fooling the rest of us. Note to the EU: We’re not fooled. Germany’s unhappily paying the tab these days but dares not make waves so everyone’s happy and feeling entitled to something back from the old Reichsstädte anyway, and all are apparently unaware the EU is crumbling down into the waiting (military) arms of the NewSSR and Vlad Putin, the energy puppeteer who knows the truth in the time worn homily, a warm home is a happy home. Until the EU wakes up to the big red elephant in the room they should treat Israel from the perspective of one who knows nothing of what self-defense requires.
They still have not learned to put out the small fires in their own back yard by themselves before they get too big . Remember during Clinton’s presidency that it took the US and the UN pushing NATO to get them to take serious military action to deal with the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina. And even then the US was by far the largest contributor of military power and boots on the ground.

To a liberal, yes. Israel is guilty of war crimes for not sharing their technology.
… and the corollary to that would be that Israel’s shelters were built to protect all her people (Jews Christians Muslims and even CNN reporters) from Hamas rockets whilst children in Gaza were used by Hamas to protect their missiles. I’m continually appalled by the left’s denial of this.

Yes they would care because most of us understand the difference between freedom and oppression. They understand that Israel is a free society surrounded by those that are not free and cannot seem to govern their own affairs. That Israel was set up per a UN mandate and ever since those that deny the holocaust, some of which associate themselves with the ideology of Hitler have done their best to destroy it.
And if nothing else, they understand that they sure as hell wouldn’t tolerate a neighboring state who’s controlling powers have repeatedly stated that their mission is to destroy them and their nation to go unopposed.
The reason that Israel “looks bad” is that the large group of journalists in Gaza refuse to report on what Hamas is doing either through fear or sympathy. ( Resonance with AGW ! )
The video above was filmed right outside the hotel where ALL the foreign journalists were staying. The only journalist who reported the first (night time) barrage from this location, Harry Fear, was promptly booted out of Gaza – again something that wasn’t widely reported. It is simply not possible that every single other journalist was not aware of this event – but somehow none of them could bring themselves to mention it.
Even now the rocket launches from the hotel have only been reported by the Indian crew and the France 24 crew. If journalists can’t even report on this it makes you wonder what else they “didn’t see”
