National Geographic Says The Arctic Will Be Ice-Free By 2012

National Geographic went over to the Dark Side years ago. Many have dropped their subscriptions as a result.
Dittos Gail. If not for doctors offices filled with bored patients and pubescent boys giggling over topless Amazon women, NG would not be viable.
Following the money — It is more important to the money-grabbers at NG that they tell the lib trust-funders what they want to hear at DC cocktail parties, rather than produce a truthful magazine. Without big-green’s money, I’m not sure NG would still be around in the internet age.
I am one of those who cancelled due to their preposterous stance.
Nat Geo’s pushing of the Glow Bull Worming agenda was precisely the reason I dropped my lifelong subscription many years ago. They went from a pretty good scientific/anthropological magazine to a Marxist propaganda mouthpiece very quickly. They, along with numerous other institutions in the West, are proof-positive that the Communist Manifesto was, indeed, a serious blueprint for the downfall of Western Civilization.
National Pseudographic is on the same level as the National Enquirer now. Won’t allow it in my house, won’t allow it in my garbage can.
Chris Horner covers Borenstein and his antics in “Red Hot Lies”. How Borenstein still has a job after all the bs he’s spouted over the years is beyond me.
Could?
Yep, there is one of those qualifiing words again. Could, may, might, can, possibly, etc.
BTW I like Nat. Geo but just for the pics.
Agreed. The pics are the only good thing about NG anymore.
Haven’t looked at NG since I was a kid and couldn’t get my hands on a Playboy….well, you get the picture.
Some good links posted by you over at WUWT, too:

You’d think that actually experiencing reality would change alarmists’ minds; it just shows how much they are suffering from their own delusions.
Hey, what’s wrong with exponential extrapolation?…
They need to leave predictions to the psychics and voodoo witch doctors. They could certainly do no worse.
CAGW and Witch Doctors. If you haven’t read this , enjoy the laugh.

“The Arctic is screaming,” said Mark Serreze, senior scientist at the government’s snow and ice data center in Boulder, Colorado.
——————————————————————————————————
And when You’ve got the senior scientist anthropomorphising frozen water , what hope is there for a rational , calm , impartial and above all a scientific assesment of data to come out of said institution ?
I’m predicting that the Arctic could be frozen solid with 5m ice by the end of 2015. My predictive methodology is superior to either Boringstein or Brown. My solid state traditional sangoma rolled the bones and this is what the bones demand.
… add the twit Serreze to the failed list as well.
It feels good to know why it didn’t happen as they predicted, while they’re totally baffled and have no clue of the cause of their failure.
It proves that arrogance and power mean nothing in comparison with true knowledge/science.
Many decades ago science was the search for the truth of nature, now it a search for the big grant fund.
Humans discovered in the WWI that they could “kill better”/”more efficiently”, if they used their scientific skills on wars… and science became increasingly infiltrated with politics.
Bad move, but it’s all part of the learning process, I believe.
too true
So grantfunding is a new fundamental force of the universe?
For many human it seems so.
