The Midwest is currently experiencing record cold, but August 5th wasn’t always a cold day. Over the past century, August 5th afternoon temperatures have plummeted in the Midwest.
The areal coverage of hot weather has also plummeted over the past century. as CO2 has increased.
Temperatures in Missouri are in the 60’s and low 70’s today, but in 1918 they were nearly 40 degrees warmer. CO2 was just over 300 PPM.
