Thank God I move from North Dakota to Arizona. The real reason was not the long cold winter but the spring that ran from March to June.

Ridiculous jet stream at the moment, you are trapped in the cold, the UK is trapped in a finger of tropics warmth, with another deep colder dive further into Europe.

Wales – also a UK record/England/Scotland have all posted record Feruary highs, all above 20C for the first time in winter (since whatever daily records began anyway), although looking at the sites they look low grade stations to me.

But at the weekend people were on the beach with BBQs already!

UK/England record lasted a day, now 21.2C at Kew Gardens, probably greenhouse glass reflection and cafe extractor assisted or something, but hey, still mad for winter!

Lowest March daily Maximum recorded in Des Moines is 2F, recorded in 1948 and 2014.
Lowest Daily Minimum there is -22, in 1962.

An interesting stat: All March’s have had at least 1 day with a max temp of 50F, with the fewest days at that level in 1965, which had only 1.
