This ice fishing season will turn out to be one of the longest ever west of the divide. It started on Nov 16th with brook trout and grayling and will not end until March 31st or later. Next 15 days will continue to be below normal in temperature and above normal in precipitation.

    Nice Pics.

Yes, it was an unusual hoar frost morning in the Boulder Valley of Colorado

Far more humidity than usual, and colder average temps for the month.

    Brrrrrrrrrr

In my youth, I recall several 70F February days, some even in January and a lot of 60+ days. Not so many warm days this winter, I’ll enjoy the next two though.

While crossing the bridge today I took a picture of a medium small coast guard vessel breaking the ice on the Detroit river.

Taking load from Romulus, MIto Bolton, ON today. Then pickup a load in Tottenham, ON bound for Vandalia, OH. Don’t see how I can make it in the time allowed. Snowing all across my route in Canada all day and snow warning has been issued for the Bolton area. It’s going to be a very long day. Have to top off on fuel before I go. Having full tanks in such weather is just prudent.
