What the hell is a “Land and Environment Court”?

What is the source of its authority? Was it ever approved by public vote?

What are the legal statutes, precedents, and procedures under which it operates?

Sorry OZ folks, but is sounds more like a Kangaroo Court (pun intended)

The entire basis of the decision to deny the mining permit seems to be “Ewww, icky”

Every court in Oz is now a kangaroo court as none of them comply with Chapter III of the Commonwealth Constitution anymore. They’re all commercial courts now using UCC.

      Forget this crap-

There are no more journalists ,politicians, judges or whatever.
      They are all acitivists.

      Geo-Jim, those are good questions!
What the heck is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency? Whence comes it’s authority under the U.S. Constitution? (it’s a mechanism to tax and mete-out rewards and punishments. The Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act were around long before 1972, at the State levels).
What is the U.S. Dept. of Non-Education? (designed to bribe States to fall in step with the progressive line, and secure a large voting block). Why do we have the U.S. Dept. of No-Commerce?… What “energy” has the U.S. Dept. of No-Energy ever secured?…
I think your mining company needs to line more pockets if they want it approved…. that’s the reality

Fine, We’ll sell it to them.

Australia is mostly a warm climate, dealing with extreme heat about every five years on average. It is easy for them to believe in global warming, whatever the cause.
This is unlike Canada and other northern areas, where a bigger concern is being killed by extreme cold during power outages. Northern peoples cannot afford to trust in unreliable and inefficient wind and solar.

Almost 60% of Australians believe climate change is a serious and pressing problem, and humans must take action now even if it has significant costs. Only 10% believe in no action. Generally, they seem to believe that the rest of the world is taking similar action.

This is sad for them, because as Trump has sarcastically said, “It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military – even if no other country would do the same.”

The judge has over stepped his brief and needs to be struck off. He has form as a closet Water Melon.
