Heartbreaking to watch the devastation. Clearly the climate is broken, one minute calm then windy, then raining. Oh the extremes. You can just SEE the CO2 at work.

Yes this was a transmission failure, but the idea that there are no “dirty” sources of electricity leaves people, in Winter, cold and in the dark.

I noticed in the report that Argentina got most of its power back up in less than a day. In South Africa, on the other hand, the town of Kempton Park, outside Johannesburg, was in the dark for over a week following a fire at a major substation. Another substation fire about 6 or 7 years ago, had blacked out the same town for nearly 10 days!

Thanks Tony for showing the glories of life!
Some scientists might call it just evidence of the carbon cycle but that would demean what there is. Plants that take solar energy and a few common low energy chemicals and transform them into high energy biologically useful molecules of sugars, starches, cellulosic polymers, etc.

The glorious puzzle that is nature, take CO2, nitrogen, water, a few minerals, power it with sunlight to transform them into true beauty.
