Global Warming Hitting Us Hard Here In Fort Collins

At first I was skeptical about President Obama’s claims we are overheating and drying up out west, but now I am convinced.

The joke here just outside of Calgary is that we are hoping for summer to land on a Saturday so we get to enjoy it…it has just been stupid cold/wet…

  2. Ernest Bush says:

In Yuma we went from a high of 102 on Monday to a high of 81 on Turesday. Today the high was about the same and at 8 pm it is blooming cold out there with a breeze.
Meanwhile it is the coldest start for May in Sydney, Australia in 73 years, according to headlines elsewhere, and Peru is expecting the harshest winter in a decade. Russia is still getting snowfall.

Of course, it will be over a 100 degrees next week in Yuma. At least that is the forecast.

  3. Eric Simpson says:

Does anyone know if Obama has ever taken a science class?

Not really. His transcripts have gone missing, and for all we know he got an exemption from the science requirement for some mental handicap like dysmexia or retardia. But we do know that, up and down the line, affirmative action was the only reason this teleprompter president advanced. Despite the purple haze of Obama’s high school and college years, he used affirmative action to get into the mildly competitive Occidental College, and then doubled down on affirmative action to get into Columbia and then H Law, and then the presidency, as he would never have been elected if he hadn’t played the race card constantly and insidiously.

Snowing on May 12th?? Is that normal?

Claiming to be Kenyan got him ahead.

Sociopathic behavior; whatever benefits him. The ‘trvth’ is both a commodity and a variable.

Sociopathic Lying Tendencies – The Sociopath as a Pathological Liar

        Excerpt:
        – – – – – – –
        Liar, Liar

Sociopaths lie. They lie a lot. In fact, they can create total and complete fairy tales out of ordinary, mundane events and can live within those fairy tales, until eventually their own fabrications become their reality. There are generally two recognized categories of individuals who constantly lie: compulsive (habitual) and pathological. Habitual liars lie out of habit. They are afraid to face the truth. Maybe they avoided punishment as a child by lying, so lying has become as ingrained into their personality as any other characteristic. There is no real reason, and they normally do not lie to intentionally hurt anyone. They just can’t help but lie. You can stand next to a compulsive liar and look together at the bright, blue sky and they will tell you that it just turned green. They simply lie to lie.

Sociopaths are pathological liars. They lie to gain something. Worse yet, their lying is usually calculated and cunning and in the end someone will get hurt. Rest assured, though, they’ve taken every precaution to ensure it isn’t them. A sociopath doesn’t care who their lies will affect, as long as in the end the lie fits their purpose and they get what they want. Unlike compulsive liars, pathological liars can help themselves. They know the difference between right and wrong, and they consciously recognize that lying is wrong. Unfortunately, they don’t really care. In fact, they are so good at lying, many times they become their own lie. Think about it for a minute. How much more convincing can someone who truly believes what they are saying be? The power of suggestion is a powerful thing. If a sociopath can stage himself to believe his own lie and truly live in his own fantasy, how many more people can he convince it is the truth and wreak his havoc and devastation on?

No one knows if he took any polysci classes at Columbia, since students that were in the department when he was enrolled there never saw him.

      • _Jim says:

Some might say he learned all he needed to learn from Frank Marshall Davis (AKA ‘dada’). After all, what need does a know-it-all manipulative sociopath have of ‘book learning’ when they make their own ‘reality’ (and get promoted/passed on on the basis of affirmative action -er- race)?

A former close friend and associate of Frank Marshall Davis has authored a book confirming his Communist activities, anti-Christian views, and involvement in bizarre sex practices and “erotica.” But Kathryn Waddell Takara’s book, Frank Marshall Davis. The Fire and the Phoenix, fails to add any more detail to the nature of his relationship with President Obama.

It has been known for over four years that Davis, a member of the Communist Party, was the mysterious “Frank” from Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father, and that he influenced the young Obama before he went off to college. Davis was Obama’s mentor for eight years of his young life in Hawaii.

Takara, a former associate professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is one of those who confirmed four years ago that “Frank” was indeed Frank Marshall Davis. She says she first met Davis in 1972. He died in 1987.

The models are suggesting a return of the dreaded polar vortex with widespread record cold within the next week or so. Again, entirely consistent with a warming planet (sarc).

THE VETTING – DID OBAMA HAVE LOWER SAT SCORES THAN GEORGE W. BUSH?

Breitbart News has learned that the transfer class that entered Columbia College in the fall of 1981 with Obama was one of the worst in recent memory, according to Columbia officials at the time.

A Nov. 18, 1981 article in the Columbia Spectator, “Tight Housing Discourages Transfer Applications to CC,” written by student Jeremy Feldman and quoting admissions officials, reported: “On paper at least, the quality of the students accepted [as transfers] has declined along with the number of applicants, the officials say.”

Feldman, quoting Robert Boatti, Assistant Dean of Admissions, as well as the late college Dean Arnold Collery, continued:

Boatti also attributed the drop in transfer application to the College’s policy of requiring transfer students to take courses in its core curriculum and to the limited availability of financial aid for them.

He added a “majority” of the transfers come here from college in the New York area. Many come from community colleges, rather than the nation’s top schools.
“Even the unhappiest people don’t transfer from Harvard,” Boatti said.
In grades and other indicators of academic performance, the crop of transfer applicants “doesn’t stand out the way they did before,” [Dean Arnold] Collery said.

      Boatti confirmed Collery’s observations.

Among accepted transfer students, the average combined math and verbal score on the Scholastic Aptitude Test is a 1,100 and their grade-point average at their former schools is about 3.0, Boatti said.

The freshman class at the College had a combined SAT score more than 100 points higher.

Only 450 students applied to transfer to Columbia in 1981 and sixty-seven were admitted, according to the Columbia Spectator, compared to 650 applicants just four years before.

If Obama’s SAT scores were near the average of the transfer students entering Columbia in the fall of 1981, he would have scored significantly lower than George W. Bush, whose combined math and verbal scores were 1206 out of a possible 1600 points (as revealed by the New Yorker in 1999).

I woke up to an inch of snow this morning in northeast Colorado. I would expect that Steve in Ft. Collins would be more apt to have snow, since he lives closer to the foothills, than us out here on the plains.
@Eric Simpson. No, snow this late isn’t “usual” but it does happen. Our “average last frost date” is
May 12, but it looks like it could be later this year. It was 34 degrees F when I woke up this morning. The family has a photo of snow on the wheat crop in June; the picture was taken sometime in the 1940’s. I don’t have access to the picture so I can’t tell you the exact date.
