Democracy Now

I was listening to left wing “Democracy Now” yesterday on the radio. They despise Obama’s behavior as much as people on the right do, for pretty much the same reasons.

Democracy Now, like “Mob Rule now!”.

“Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.”

      • Gail Combs says:

Joe Garcia, may say he was speaking tongue in cheek but this is the typical method of “desensitizing’ people. Just keep bring it up and bring it up and pretty soon we have Gays in the armed forces and NFL football and America hating communists running the government.

In the 1820s the “Communist Experiment” was run and it flopped BIG TIME. People rather die of starvation rather than work “for the common good”

… the Pilgrims were starving. Bradford writes that “young men that are most able and fit for labor and service” complained about being forced to “spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children.” Also, “the strong, or man of parts, had no more in division of victuals and clothes, than he that was weak.” So the young and strong refused to work and the total amount of food produced was never adequate.

To rectify this situation, in 1623 Bradford abolished socialism. He gave each household a parcel of land and told them they could keep what they produced, or trade it away as they saw fit. In other words, he replaced socialism with a free market, and that was the end of famines…
        http://mises.org/daily/336

But our would be Masters, not content to read Governor Bradford’s words, tried the experiment AGAIN.
In the words of Congressman McFadden (1934 speech before Congress.)

….”These twelve private credit monopolies were deceitfully and disloyally foisted upon this Country by the bankers who came here from Europe and repaid us our hospitality by undermining our American institutions. Those bankers took money out of this Country to finance Japan in a war against Russia. They created a reign of terror in Russia with our money in order to help that war along. They instigated the separate peace between Germany and Russia, and thus drove a wedge between the allies in World War. They financed Trotsky’s passage from New York to Russia so that he might assist in the destruction of the Russian Empire. They fomented and instigated the Russian Revolution, and placed a large fund of American dollars at Trotsky’s disposal in one of their branch banks in Sweden so that through him Russian homes might be thoroughly broken up and Russian children flung far and wide from their natural protectors….

And when that experiment fell flat on its face despite Stalin’s wise shepherding (aka massive slaughter).

        Stalin’s outlook:

Only one man, the wisest and strongest of all, can be entrusted with the task of building socialism. And this man must not flinch from inflicting mass killings, deliberate famines, and torture involving the suffering and deaths of many millions of people. The Wise Man must employ whatever means he deems necessary to root out the millions of enemies of the people so that he can lead men to perpetual peace, happiness, and total communization.

They want to try it AGAIN but this time they want to subject the entire world to ” The Wise Man”

From the numbers quoted by various “enlightened” people the plan is to kill off at least 5 billion or more people.

Now you know why all babies born in the USA are subjected to DNA testing and their DNA warehoused. Now you know why law enforcement is grabbing DNA from people instead of charging them with minor crimes. Now you know why the Royal Society had Eugenics on the program for their 2004 conference….

But that’s all right – They are SURE they will get it right THIS TIME….

DAVID SUZUKI: Our politicians should be thrown in the slammer for willful blindness. If we are in a position of being able to act, and we see something going on and we refuse to acknowledge the threat or act on it, we can be taken to court for willful blindness. I think that we are being willfully blind to the consequences for our children and grandchildren. It’s an intergenerational crime.

MOYERS: The problem is, if that should happen, if politicians were to be convicted of willful blindness to the fate of the Earth and future generations, there would have to be mass arrests and lots more funding for new prisons. We’re not talking about a mere handful of culprits. It’s hard even to know where to start. Perhaps with Marco Rubio, Republican senator from Florida. Back when he was a state legislator, Rubio favored cutting carbon emissions that contribute to global warming. But now he’s thinking about running for president in 2016 and has changed his tune, as ABC’s Jonathan Karl learned this past weekend.

Mine eyes have been opened. I listened to Amy G. for years then had to stop listening after hearing James Hansen and Bill McKibben for the 20th time. I remember the day before 9/11, arsenic in the water supplies was the big issue on her program. Haven’t heard about it since. Bill Moyers, wow. Climate pharisees, look good on the outside but inside full of hypocrisy and dead bones. I did a radio show right before DN for 6 years based around relocalization (see the oft ignored IPCC scenario B2). I realize these environ-mentalists aren’t interested in simple things like insulating our homes, building gardens, planting trees, supporting local food producers, but they want us to vote for their CO2 messiah who will come to save us from our carbon sins and stop hurricanes. And if we don’t, we’ll be condemned to CO2 hell forever.

Exactly! The one problem and it is gigantic, is the right’s desire to eliminate a number of very important civil rights like women’s right to control her own body and what she does with herself.

Sans that, the right is doomed to be marginalized.

    • -=NikFromNYC=- says:

This is the urban version of the gun rights battle, indeed. Single women here are mostly utterly allergic to conservatives due this issue, and they strongly influence the single men around them. Just like gun control infuriates the heartland and small towns, women here are spitting mad about abortion control and big cities now dominate presidential elections.

      Exactly!

You’re a complete moron; why should ANY of your arguments at ANY time be considered let alone read?

      .

      • Gail Combs says:

emsnews is correct when it comes to a woman’s point of view on Abortion. My mother and even my Grandmothers (both born in the 1800’s) were FOR ABORTION RIGHTS.

Perhaps you guys are too young to remember all the young girls who ended up bleeding to death from black market abortions or women maimed for life. Also there is no guarantee a woman will survive pregnancy and birth with her health or life intact. My favorite cousin gave birth at age ~36. The kid is retarded/autistic and she is now crippled. Her husband divorced her when the kid was ~ 6 months old and she had to return to her Mom’s where she has lived for the last 20 years.

To say giving birth ruined her life for good would be a major understatement.

I notice it always seems to be the sperm donors that are outspoken against abortion.

(I only support first trimester abortion otherwise you made your choice so live with it.)

        • usJim says:

It would seem that you (and perhaps more than just a few others) are unacquainted with the ‘beginnings’ of the human reproductive process and the ‘mechanics’ involved; Do you know what copulation involves? Are you aware of the measures one can invoke to avoid a pregnancy in and around the process or ‘act’ of copulation (AKA coitus)?

I am beginning to think this might be a new area for more than just a few of you to explore …

          .

        • usJim says:

Maybe the news should be broken now: It begins with a man … (re: the ‘beginnings’ of the human reproductive process and the ‘mechanics’ involved)

Shall we explore the process/procedure you used (or did not use) in selecting said ‘man’ who eventually became involved in this ‘copulation’ process? Could better choices have been made (such considerations as character, suitability as a mate, as a husband, as a partner in raising children, as a hard-currency earner)? Were you unprepared in the overall for this ‘mission’ and potential outcomes (kids, debt, NOW I don’t want children!)?

A thousand (and more) questions could be asked but I expect few answers in return …

          .

        • Gail Combs says:

          Jim,
Are you aware of RAPE? I am shall we say intimately acquainted as are many of my friends. Actually I have yet to talk to a female who was not intimately acquainted with the topic. Yes there are various contraceptives but they are ALL known to fail or cause other problems. (My friend is just now recovering from a hysterectomy needed to save her life after an infection caused by her contraceptive.)

The reality in the 21st century is girls are pressured to date early and have sexual relations early. I do not agree that that is the way our culture should be headed but that is the reality. If I had any say about it, all schools would be segregated by sex. If you want kids, especially teens to pay attention to their education get the opposite sex out of the classroom.

None of that however has anything to do with the topic of the view point of the 21st Century woman voter, especially professional city women. There is also the problem of divorce and mature, single professional women who are GOING to be sexually active. 44.1 percent of all U.S. residents 18 and older are unmarried. 36% percent of women age 15 to 50 with a birth in the last 12 months, as of 2011 were widowed, divorced or never married. In other words over 1/3 of full term pregnancies happen to unmarried women.

As NikFromNYC pointed out ‘freedom from being an unwilling broodmare’ is a hard earned ‘right’ women, especially non-Christian women are not about to give up. If you are going to insist on pushing ‘No Abortion’ as part of the ‘Republican package’ you are going to lose the independent women’s vote. That is the simple truth of the matter and no amount of wishing will turn back the clock to the 1950s when an unwed mother who kept her child was socially shunned.

Rasmussen Reports shows on May 19, 2014: “…41% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, while 37% would choose the Republican instead….”

That leaves 22% “Independent” voters and over half will be female.

My point and that of emsnews, is there are much more important points we need to agree on. Getting hung up on the abortion issue is going to lose elections for you as it has over the last generation, so smarten-up guys. You are not going to win that argument with the people who matter, the independent female voter who will swing the election.

  9. usJim says:

re: “Are you aware of … ”

Yeah yeah yeah; And HOW d*mned frequent is that … the rest of you verbiage is filibuster (and bluster.)

I don’t see what your beef is; we’re on convergence with Bill Clinton’s statement that “abortion should be safe legal and rare”.

See, this is the EMOTIONAL not LOGICAL trap all these ARGUMENTS fall into. I thereby penalize myself for an “Offside penalty”; injection of logic and a smidge of reason into a completely emotional game.

There is also the Biblical aspect as to why you are ‘woman’ counter to that called ‘man’, too (but I don’t think you are at this point capable of going on a deep, theological bent on this subject.); it goes quite beyond your (and a few others) selfish, self-centered view of ME ME ME and looks at the greater picture of human life on earth …

    .

    • Gail Combs says:

First I am not a Christian.

Second why shouldn’t I, as an individual, consider what is BEST FOR ME? If I am unhappy and resentful what will that do to the child?

Third, WHY shouldn’t I consider what is best for my future child?
As a chemist who handled mutagens for years before there was an OSHA, I thought long and hard about the pros and cons of having children and decided, given the addition of poor genetics (my family rarely makes it to 60) to the mutagens and my advanced age when I married a second time, having kids was a very poor idea and my husband agreed.

Any woman who brings a child into the world without considerable thought is in my opinion negligent from the get go. Children are not puppies or kittens but you would never know it from the poor child rearing practices in the USA

I do children’s entertainment so I see a LOT of kids, over 2000 a year, and I am often appalled. Remember these are generally the kids of middle class people. The inner city kids were really sad in many cases.

Consider this: 17% of white males received ADHD medication in school. That does not include kids receiving home administered drugs. (Research in public schools in Maryland – Safer, 1999) How much of that is because the boys are being brought up in a one parent household with little or no discipline?

      • gator69 says:

You abortionists are missing the point. No party is trying to ban abortions, but some of us do not believe that the government should be in the baby killing business. End government funding of abortions.

Can you imagine the uproar if churches were funded by your tax dollars? If you want to provide baby killing services for others, do what churches do, collect money from like minded people and then offer services.

Why do you folks make this so difficult? The answers are actually easy.

        • Gail Combs says:

“… some of us do not believe that the government should be in the baby killing business. End government funding of abortions….”
          >>>>>>
OH I very much agree with that. I also think the government should get out of the contraceptive business and has no right to tell a hospital what procedures it can and can not do.

Actually I want the (self-snip) government out of my life as much as possible.

        • gator69 says:

When arguments are framed correctly, we can find much on which we agree. I used to work in a major US city for a major bank, and helped many people out of very bad financial situations. This career ended due to Progressive meddling, and now there are many people who are unable to find resolution to their money problems. Thanks Dodd-Frank.

Most of the people I worked with were urban blacks, and staunch Democrats. I enjoyed our discussions because they had this image of who I was, and I shattered it daily. It got to the pint where they urged me to run for office! 😆

And yes, the answer to most differences came down to getting Big Brother out of our bedrooms, out of our homes, out of our businesses, out of our churches, and out of our pockets.

The answers are really that simple.

        • Gail Combs says:

I should also mention that getting rid of the government job class – Unwed mother on welfare – would also go a long way towards teaching teens responsibility. I know of one teen who had six babies by the time she was 18. She and her kids will be on the government dole for life and you and I get to pay for it.

        • Gail Combs says:

BTW gator, there are some elements that do want to ban abortions and of course these people, the ones who burn buildings and shoot doctors, are the ones the Progressive media holds up and points to and calls “Conservatives”

The media is always looking for the loony fringe types to highlight especially if it will advance their agenda of ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Global Governance’

This happened down the street from where my husband used to live just before we left the Boston area.

Gunman Kills 2, Wounds 5 in Attack on Abortion Clinics

BROOKLINE, MASS., DEC. 30 [1994] — A gunman dressed in black opened fire with a rifle at two abortion clinics here this morning, killing two female staff workers and wounding at least five other people.

The attacker, who may have been wounded by a security guard at the second clinic, then fled, managing to elude a massive manhunt by local and state police and FBI agents that included helicopters and police dogs….

        • gator69 says:

Gail, did I mention that I worked as a repo-man in East St Louis to pay for school? Sadly many urban areas are nothing more than human puppy mills. Each pup brings a paycheck.

A coworker, and good friend of mine at that time, actually ‘kidnapped’ a pair of twins he saw being abused. He brought them back to the office and called the cops. When the police showed up and saw the condition of those kids, they filed charges on the parents instead.

        • Gail Combs says:

“Sadly many urban areas are nothing more than human puppy mills. Each pup brings a paycheck.”

Excellent description but you need to add that when they grow up each pup votes democrat and thinks the world OWES him a living and anyone who is ‘affluent’ STOLE it from him.

Obummer expressed the attitude when he said: ‘If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.’

…if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own…. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.) If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen…..

This from the Community Organizer who has done nothing but try to destroy “this unbelievable American system” A guy who would not know hard work and innovation if it bit him on the arse. As a friend said upon seeing a “If you can read this thank a teacher” bumper sticker – I taught myself how to read at age three…

Obummer seems to be completely ignorant of the fact that small business people now are successful DESPITE the unbelievably over regulated “American system”

The more I learn of the US system the more I like Mark Stoval’s (and Murray Rothbard’s) ideas about Anarchy

No I had not seen the movie but I am certainly familiar with the idea. We are literally paying the dumbest, laziest and most unscrupulous to reproduce while those with good ethics, work habits and intelligence, especially women, are busy working and postponing kids until late in life or never.

Somewhere I read that David Rockefeller was behind the Feminist Movement – it doubles the income per family and helps wipe out the middle class.

If you remember the actual goal is a docile unintelligent serf class ruled by an intellectual elite and world bankers. What many seem to forget is the Rockefellers and Rothschilds and Warburgs were behind Stalin’s killing of millions. link

Think like a rancher. Breed like crazy and then ruthlessly cull. Now they have DNA samples to use for culling criteria….

David Rockefeller was quoted as saying:

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.[68]

So, happy 96th birthday, Mr. David Rockefeller! But I am sorry to say (or perhaps not so sorry) that while the mainstream media have “respected their promises of discretion,” the new media – the alternative media – have not. As you said yourself, “It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years,” it seems that the “lights of publicity” are now descending upon your “plan for the world,” making it all the more difficult to come to pass. Indeed, “the world is more sophisticated,” but not because the world is ‘ready’ for your plan, but because the world is getting ready to reject it. While national sovereignty certainly has problems and is hardly something I would consider ‘ideal’, the “supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers” is about the worst scenario one could imagine. So as a birthday present to you, Mr. Rockefeller, I promise (and I am sure that I am speaking for a great many more than simply myself) that I will continue to expose your “plans for the world,” so that your dream – and our nightmare – will never become a reality. The light will shine, and in due time, the people will be ready to follow its path.

Having boys and girls at the same school is for social skills. Having boys and girls in seperate classrooms is good for education and learning.

    • Gail Combs says:

So you have two schools next to each other sharing teachers with some after school events in common.

Leave most of the “social skill’ learning for college and you will see teen pregnancies plummet.

      • Truthseeker says:

They progressives are wasting too much money on stuff that doesn’t matter to build twin schools to actually improve education.
It is the classroom that matters. That is where you can convey some of the gender specific lessons that need to be taught.

        • Gail Combs says:

The progressives are NOT interested in improving education. Remember Progressives are the unpaid arm of the KGB and the goal is to weaken the USA and prepare the ‘Battlefield”

…The progressives were a new breed of educator that came on the scene around the turn of the century…. It was these men who later imposed the new psychology on American education and transformed it permanently from its academic function to one dedicated to behavioral change….

In 1894, Dewey was appointed head of the department of philosophy, psychology and education at the University of Chicago which had been established two years earlier by a gift from John D. Rockefeller. In 1896, Dewey created his famous experimental Laboratory School where he could test the effects of the new psychology on real live children.

…. the purpose of the school was to show how education could be changed to produce little socialists and collectivists instead of little capitalists and individualists. It was expected that these little socialists, when they became voting adults, would dutifully change the American economic system into a socialist one.

….he analyzed the traditional curriculum that sustained the capitalist, individualistic system and found what he believed was the sustaining linchpin — that is, the key element that held the entire system together: high literacy. To Dewey, the greatest obstacle to socialism was the private mind that seeks knowledge in order to exercise its own private judgment and intellectual authority. High literacy gave the individual the means to seek knowledge independently. It gave individuals the means to stand on their own two feet and think for themselves. This was detrimental to the “social spirit” needed to bring about a collectivist society…
          http://www.ordination.org/dumbing_down.htm

As I said the goal of todays US school system is a dumb obedient serf. Unfortunately they are achieving that goal. I just talked to two high school kids who both said they want to live “The Simple Life” No doubt this is a life in a 14 ft X 14 ft micro-mini “Sustainabile Apartment” where you bike to work and eat local food in your nice little Transit Village.

I am sure they will make good little serfs after their lifetime of brainwashing and indoctrination.

        • Truthseeker says:

“The progressives are NOT interested in improving education.”

That is what I said (“They” should be “The” at the start). Agree with the rest of what you said as well.
