Settled Science At The New York Times

Twelve years after predicting an ice-free Arctic, the New York Times predicted a new ice age.

“Some scientists estimate that the polar ice pack is 40 per cent thinner and 12 per cent less in area than it was a half-century ago, and that even within the lifetime of our children the Arctic Ocean may open, enabling ships to sail over the North Pole”

“The United States and the Soviet Union are mounting large-scale investigations to determine why the Arctic climate is becoming more frigid, why parts of the Arctic sea ice have recently become ominously thicker and whether the extent of that ice cover contributes to the onset of ice ages.”

  1. Disillusioned says:

We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility.

IOW, ‘we must control the narrative harder, step up the nasty labeling and censorship of our perceived enemies. We need to continue calling them fascists (Nazis), racists, and worse, etc. We must support arrest and imprisonment of our enemies. We must buy out the remaining libertarian news organizations and publications (worked great for the Drudge Report). We must partner with pollsters and politicians. We must become a propaganda monopoly – when we have control of all the outlets, and the news is only coming from us, then we will increase our credibility.’

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and each time expecting better results.
