Dec. 21, 2006:

Evidence is mounting: the next solar cycle is going to be a big one. Solar cycle 24, due to peak in 2010 or 2011 “looks like its going to be one of the most intense cycles since record-keeping began almost 400 years ago,” says solar physicist David Hathaway of the Marshall Space Flight Center. He and colleague Robert Wilson presented this conclusion last week at the American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco.

The amplitude and timing of cycle 24 were spectacularly wrong, They just adjusted their model and now they are experts on solar cycles again. Experts at lying their asses off.

  2. Don’t know how reliable they claim their predictions are. Predictions are what scientists do.

  3. Sundance says:

I finally get it. Hansen’s climate dice foresaw the extreme intensity of solar cycle 24 that fueled all of Hansen’s Super El Niño’s. Did I miss anything? 🙂

Glad you remind people of this. Please keep it up. Some folks at other sites etc Like Solar “expert” Svaalgard deeply resent this type of reminder and have been usually wrong about everything concerning solar in my view. On the other hand, for example David Archibald predicted a solar max SSN of about 40 +- 10 and has been pretty spot on about nearly everything concerning solar and climate to date.Of course real physicist’s like Freeman Dyson, Singer and so on really do know what they are talking about..You may want to have a look at how NH ice changes are calculated I suspect tampering with ice zone borders to shore up the AGW scam.

Those aren’t predictions, they are wild ass guesses!
