“As someone living in the United States, this is not surprising to me”

Those foolish Americans, who happen to have have noticed that winter temperatures have been plummeting for the past decade. Why can’t they just believe us beautiful people? We who are enlightened need to be compassionate towards the ignorant masses.

It is good to see that Jon Bon Jovi is giving up his New Jersey mansion – well he has promised to turn some lights off anyway.

This is not a political issue, it doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you’re on. This is a moral issue. Each of us are obligated to do what we can to be part of the solution. And it’s easy. Shut the lights off when you leave the room; lower the air conditioning; buy energy efficient appliances; make your next car a hybrid. Every little bit helps.

Move into a house that is less than 2000 Sq ft with the latest in energy appliances and insulation standards. Unlike most people who are pushing for every one else to conserve.

Ah, I see. The stopglobalwarming website is a project of the Tides Center, which is part of the Tides Foundation – George Soros, and I think a bunch of other ‘progressives’.

    Now it makes sense . . . .

We installed a geothermal heating and cooling system for our home this summer. Not because it is “green”, because it will pay off in a short period (less than 5 years). We also installed new windows, again not because we are greenies, but because we wanted to remodel our home and have nice windows. Ditto the new roof, kitchen and appliances. For all that we will receive ~$2000-3000 more in our income tax return for 2010 due to government subsidies, err, tax incentives given for these improvements we would have done regardless.

We thank our fellow Americans for contributing…….
