The point I was making is that asking an AGW adherent to accept that there has been no warming is like asking a devout Christian to accept that there never was a Christ. In both cases you are asking someone to renounce the underpinnings of their whole belief system.

And therein lies the problem. Temperature records are a physical artefact. Jesus, on balance, was also a physical artefact. God is wholly and solely a logical construct. Why anyone would want to compare the physical with the logical (or notional) and expect to convince anyone – much less win an argument – beats the hell out of me.

Slide 6 says low emissions cause higher delta T than high emissions. WTF?
Slide 9 says fewer cyclones, genesis closer to polar region. Total crap, all evidence is for same cyclone frequency, strength and same location.

Here’s the main point: Given certain caveats, which I spell out in the article, human populations are self-correcting in the long term. And Malthusian hells need not be a part of that process. In some developed countries, like Japan, population is actually DECREASING. It’s part of the Demographic Transition. The DT should be a part of Scientific Literacy 101.
