The actual wind speeds were nowhere near 200 MPH, and there have been many stronger typhoons in the Philippines since 1970.

Katherine Hayhoe is going to tell students at Texas Tech this Saturday that she knows how to control the climate.
The Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the Texas Tech Student Government Association are co-sponsoring a two-part event called “Realities of a Changing Climate: Solutions for a Brighter Future” on Saturday from 1-3:30 p.m. in room 169 of the Human Sciences Building at Tech. Katharine Hayhoe will speak on what is happening and why it’s a problem during the first hour of the event. Hayhoe is also a member of the advisory board of the national Citizens’ Climate Education.
Katherine expresses her personal opinion as plural, and says that droughts in the central and southwest US are going to get worse.
She can be concerned about anything she wants. But the data shows that she doesn’t know what she is talking about. Droughts in the corn belt have become much less common and much less intense over the past 120 years.

Drought in the Southwest is caused by cold Pacific water, not warm water. When the Pacific warms up (like 2015) Texas and the southwest get very wet.

According to the National Park Service, the particular glacier he was looking at was receding faster 100 years ago during NOAA’s coldest years ever.

The 1899 Harriman expedition found that almost all Alaskan glaciers were retreating, and that they had receded greatly in the past (when CO2 was at pre-industrial levels.)
It wasn’t just Alaska. All Swiss glaciers were also retreating during NOAA’s coldest years ever.

In January, NOAA had a very inconvenient problem. Temperatures hadn’t risen for 20 years, which wrecked their global warming story.
So they resolved that problem by simply altering the data to make the 20 year hiatus disappear.

The animation below shows NOAA data tampering over the last nine months. The biggest fraud in history is being played out right before our eyes, yet some skeptics still refuse to see it.
The US has been experiencing a period of record quiet for tornadoes since CO2 hit 400 PPM, but in 1925 a single tornado left a massive trail of death and destruction across five states. Atmospheric CO2 was 310 PPM at the time.
Lots of headlines today that September was the hottest ever – by a wide margin. The level of fraud which NOAA had to use to obtain this result (ahead of Paris) is quite stunning.
The first thing to note is the massive data tampering they did since last September. They increased the temperature of all recent years to get rid of the hiatus.
But that is the least of their fraud. They generated this red colored map, which does not even vaguely represent their measured data.
The map below shows their actual station data. They have coverage for less than 50% of the land surface, meaning that more than half of their surface temperatures in the map above are fake. Note that there are only two warm areas – the US and eastern Europe. They simply made up fake temperatures in the missing areas to paint their map red.
Satellites show that the land surface was close to average in September, and satellites have much better coverage than NOAA.
NOAA’s land-only temperature anomaly was 1.16°C, generated from primarily fake data. By contrast, the satellite UAH land only anomaly was 0.15°C – the coolest September since 2008. Satellites tend to exaggerate warming during an El Nino, so the NOAA fraud is much worse than it seems.

NOAA simply bumped temperatures up by about 0.5 degrees this month, in order to give Obama the propaganda he needs ahead of Paris. Normally NOAA diverges from UAH by about 0.5°C, but this month they pulled the brakes and ran their cheating up to more than 1°C.
NOAA has recognized that they can take this fraud as far as the White House needs them to, until Congressional Republicans finally get their act together.
