I took these pictures of global warming devastation in Los Alamos this morning.  The snow was too deep for the dogs, so I have to leave them behind – for the first time ever.

Off to the snow in New Mexico tomorrow, but a great day in the desert today.

Teddy Bear Cholla cactus spines fold over after they get under your skin, so pulling them out is like pulling fish hooks out. One day in 1976 I went to the emergency room in Superior, Arizona with hundreds of them in my wrist.  The doctor had just moved out from Pennsylvania the day before, and had never seen a Cholla. He was pretty good with a pair of pliers however.

I was teaching high school science/math and coaching soccer at a boarding school in Cornville, Arizona, and lived about 15 feet from the creek. The school is shut down now, but everything looks the same – except for no kids.

Also, my dog was bigger 30 years ago. And liked to play soccer.

I used to take Dingo running up here every day, when CO2 was below 350 PPM.  Now that it is above 400 PPM, everything looks exactly the same – except for a lot more neurotic leftists on the trail hysterical about imaginary climate change.
