Southwest Permanent Drought Update

Seven years ago, President Clinton’s climate adviser, Joe Romm, announced the start of the Southwest Permanent Drought.

One Of The Least Hot Augusts On Record In The US

Early in life I had noticed that no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper.

George Orwell

The percent of the US reaching 90 degrees during August has plummeted over the past century.  Last year was a record low of 61%, and this year was also in the bottom ten percent.

The percentage of hot days has also declined sharply over the past century.

And the average maximum temperature has declined, and was below average this year.

The fraudsters who run the climate propaganda machine of course claim the exact opposite.

CBS News says it was the hottest summer on record in Boston, which had no days over 95 degrees this year, compared to eleven in 1949.

Boston has had ten days over 90 degrees, which was a little above average, and 24th highest on record.

The average maximum temperature this summer was also a little above average, and was 13th warmest on record.

It is wildly fraudulent to say this was the hottest summer on record in Boston, but fraud is the standard operating procedure for climate reporters.

Four Weeks Left Until The Maldives Drown

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

Albert Einstein

On September 26, 1988 climate experts said all 1,196 Maldives Islands would drown in 30 years. That is only four weeks away.

26 Sep 1988 – Threat to islands

So far, they are batting 0.000 with their forecast.  This is what the Maldives looks like this morning.

In 1997, the President of the Maldives pleaded for help. He said Island countries were about to disappear under the seas.

Ten years ago, The Guardian said the Maldives were packing up and moving out.

Now the Guardian says the Maldives are the moral leader on climate change, and are adapting by taking in tens of billions of dollars of big oil money to expand their resorts and bring in millions more tourists.

It takes moral courage to survive expanding islands.

The Guardian says if you don’t believe the Maldives will be gone in four weeks, you are evil and must be silenced.

It is unfortunate the Guardian didn’t take their stance on silencing skeptics 180 years ago, when CO2 was 280 PPM and Maldives Islands actually were disappearing.

Correlating Atmospheric Temperature With Pressure

On June 25th, 1981 I was working as a wilderness ranger near the top of 10,600 ft. Sandia Peak outside Albuquerque. There were thunderheads building, and we saw a couple of hang glider pilots preparing to take off.  A couple of the rangers I was with went over to talk to them, and told them they were doing something really stupid.

The pilots didn’t listen, and took off anyway.  One of them got carried up to 40,000 feet and was found frozen solid about 10 miles away. He turned into a giant hailstone.  The other escaped by doing a near free fall down the cliffs.

It was the second hottest day of the summer, and one of the hottest days on record in that region.

Despite the high temperatures near the ground, it was very cold at altitude. Just like on Venus. temperature in Earth’s troposphere increases linearly with altitude. At an altitude of 50km in the Venusian atmosphere, the temperature and pressure is about the same as at Earth’s surface.

Tropospheric temperature correlates with pressure, not chemical composition.  Had Steven Hawking understood some of the most basic principles of science, he would have known this.

Guardian Censorship Policy

It Is The Censorship, Not The CO2

In 1934, fascism was rising around the world.  It was the hottest year on record in the US, and the worst drought on record in the US.

psi-193407.gif (690×488)

The LA Times said the global climate was berserk and was being controlled by sunspots.

England was having their worst drought in almost 200 years, and one of their warmest summers.

According to the LA Times, the climate had gone nuts around the world.

30 Dec 1934, 13 – The Los Angeles Times at Newspapers.com

Atmospheric CO2 was a very low 310 PPM in 1934. Almost 85 years later, fascism is again on the rise, and the LA Times refuses to print the opinions of anyone who doesn’t believe bad weather is caused by CO2.

Plummeting September Temperatures In The US

Prior to 1965, September was a hot month in the US.  But in the mid-1960’s, September temperatures plummeted, as did the frequency of hot days

On September 10, 1931, it was 108 degrees in Minnesota and 101 degrees in New York. Fifty nine percent of the US was over 90 degrees.

One hundred degree days were common in Minnesota during September prior to 1940, but Minnesota hasn’t been over 100 degrees in September since 1980. One hundred degree temperatures never happen on September 10 any more outside of the desert southwest, but prior to 1940 they were quite common across the country.

From September 1-9, 1925, Clarksville, Tennessee was over 100 degrees every day, averaged 107 degrees, and topped out at 112 degrees.

Clarksville almost never gets above 100 degrees in September any more, and hasn’t been above 110 degrees during any month since 1952.

From September 1 to October 9, 1939 – Madison, Indiana afternoons averaged 95 degrees, had thirty-one days over 90 degrees, and eleven days over 100 degrees.  On October 8, 1939 is was 100 degrees in Indiana.

The heatwave was coast to coast.

11 Oct 1939, Page 5 – The Indianapolis Star at Newspapers.com

13 Oct 1939, 16 – The Times at Newspapers.com

September/October afternoon temperatures have dropped more than five degrees over the last century at Madison, Indiana.

Summers are getting cooler and ending much earlier in the US than they used to.

The first day of summer comes about five days later than it used.

And the last day of summer comes about five days earlier than it used to.

The shortening of summer has occurred across the Northern Hemisphere, and has caused a large increase in the area covered by snow during autumn.

Rutgers University Climate Lab :: Global Snow Lab

The fake news press of course claim the exact opposite, and censors anyone who attempts to set the record straight.

Climate change is not a matter for debate. We must not offer credibility to those who deny it | Letters | Environment | The Guardian

Like in 1933, the agenda of socialists is simply too important to allow other opinions to be heard.
