Reader Andy says my “forecasts have been as bad as the scientists.”

I’ve been saying for ten years that nothing is happening in the Arctic, and that the small year over year variations are just noise. Meanwhile, experts have been predicting the Arctic would be ice-free in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 ….

Andy appears to be unable to distinguish between the quality of my analysis and the quality of the analysis done by the hacks known as “climate experts.” The dissonance among climate alarmists is quite astonishing.

Hansen, echoing work by other scientists, said that in five to 10 years, the Arctic will be free of sea ice in the summer.

Looks like big trouble for government climate prophets. Arctic sea ice volume is up 7% from when he made his prophesy, and melting at the slowest rate on record.

But to be fair to Dr. Hansen, he was a very conservative prophet. The other leading Norwegian, American and Canadian prophets predicted the North Pole would be ice-free ten years ago.

Temperatures near the North Pole have been below freezing continuously since mid-September of last year, yet climate experts tell us the ice is melting at a record rate, and will be all gone later this summer.  Apparently they never completed preschool level science.

About five years ago, Toto was attacked by a large owl in Fort Collins.  He escaped by running half a mile back to my evil fossil fuel powered SUV, which he hid under until I found him an hour later.

The DMI Greenland melt graph and map seems to be stuck on a few days ago, with the June 8 values being exactly the same as the June 7 values. Joe Bastardi pointed this out yesterday.

However there was almost no melting on June 8.

Meanwhile ice and snow continues to accumulate on Greenland’s surface at a near record rate.

And sea surface temperatures around Greenland are plummeting.

The bad news keeps piling up for climate alarmists.  Their scam is dying a very rapid death.
