And the Washington Post has announced that late springs in the Eastern US are due to global warming.

This week in 1974, the worst tornado outbreak in US history occurred. Climate experts blamed it on global cooling, which was causing an expansion of the polar vortex and expanding Arctic ice.

Climate experts now know that the polar vortex and extreme weather is caused by global warming and shrinking Arctic ice.
During March of 2015, I predicted that Carl Mears at Remote Sensing Systems RSS, under extreme pressure from the climate mafia, would alter his data to match the fraudulent surface temperature data sets.
Look for the satellite data to be adjusted to bring it into compliance with the fully fraudulent surface temperatures. The Guardian is now working to discredit UAH, so it seems likely that RSS will soon be making big changes – to match the needs of the climate mafia. Bookmark this post.
That is exactly what happened. The RSS web page used to have this graph, showing how badly climate models have failed. “The simulations as a whole are predicting too much warming”

They have since altered their graph and changed the text to say : “there is a small discrepancy between the model predictions and the satelllite observations.”
One would expect that Dr. Carl Mears would know how to spell satellite, and that he would also notice that even after he changed the data there is still a very large discrepancy between the models and observations, with observations falling at the very lower end of the model range. But let’s look how he changed the data. He simply got rid of his error range (light blue) and moved the temperature (black line) up to the very top of his error range.
Even after doing this data tampering, RSS still shows the current temperature outside the model 95% confidence range (yellow.)
Prior to the data tampering, RSS agreed quite closely with the other satellite data set from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, but they now show an extra 0.15 degrees of warming.

The only two people who were qualified to review this data tampering by RSS, Dr. Roy Spencer and Dr. John Christy, were not consulted and the changes were not submitted for peer review to them.
Here are Dr. Spencer’s predictions from January, 2017.
“I expect there will soon be a revised TLT product from RSS which shows enhanced warming, too.
Here’s what I’m predicting:
1) neither John Christy nor I will be asked to review the paper
2) it will quickly sail through peer review (our UAH V6 paper is still not in print nearly 1 year after submission)
3) it will have many authors, including climate model people and the usual model pundits (e.g. Santer), which will supposedly lend legitimacy to the new data adjustments.

I took the same map, and flattened the colors for all locations with an anomaly of greater than +/- 0.5C. Using a better color scheme it becomes clear that the vast majority of Earth was either close to average, or below average temperatures last month.
And satellite data shows that March was close to average for the last 20 years.

This is a classic example of driving stupid people hysterical with mindless propaganda and a red crayon.
The Arctic is extremely cold, and the cold air is spilling over into North America. Arctic sea ice volume is “normal” and growing rapidly.
Journalists trapped in the cold Arctic air believe the Arctic is hot and the ice is melting.

The “super-hot” Arctic air is set to ruin the Washington DC Cherry Blossom festival yet again this year.
The first week of 2018 – eastern US and Canada in a deep freeze.
Washington DC was below 0°F and frozen solid.
Thirteen weeks later – the same pattern, and a big snowstorm headed to DC.

The pattern is similar to February, 1936.
Lets ignore the historic solar minimum, and keep talking about imaginary record heat – caused by a 0.0001 mole fraction increase in a harmless, essential trace gas.
Bill Nye is not a scientist, yet passes himself of as the science guy.
His defining experiment for proving the greenhouse effect is junk science. He took two glass jars, and filled one with CO2.
Then he put heat lamps over the two jars, which shone thermal radiation towards both jars.
At the end of the experiment, he claimed that the CO2 filled jar was hotter than the one without CO2, due to the CO2 absorbing the thermal radiation.
But Bill made a fatal mistake in his fake experiment. The theory behind the “greenhouse” effect is that shortwave (sunlight) radiation passes through glass, but longwave thermal radiation coming up from the ground does not pass through glass.
Nye’s experiment depended on thermal IR from the heat lamp passing into the glass chambers. But glass is opaque to thermal IR.
How Does a Greenhouse Work?
In a greenhouse, radiant energy passes through transparent material into an area where plants, soil and other objects absorb it. They then re-radiate that energy in the form of infrared heat. Because infrared has longer wavelengths, it cannot go out back through the material through which it came.

Most glass is effectively opaque to thermal IR. (This is another reason that thermal imaging cameras are expensive; they need lenses made of materials transparent to thermal IR: typically germanium or quartz are used.
Nye’s experiment to prove the greenhouse effect, fundamentally violated what he was trying to prove. The greenhouse effect made his experiment useless. Whatever Bill Nye did, it most likely wasn’t what he claimed he did.

Six years ago, the Washington Post predicted cherry blossoms would start forming in January, due to a 0.0001 mole fraction increase in CO2 over the past century.

At the end of February, the Washington Post predicted and early bloom, and said it was exactly what they expected.
Six weeks later, with the cherry blossoms running very late, the Washington Post says the blooms are “speeding towards a peak.”

Just in time for another foot of snow on Saturday.
Global warming true believers are the greatest clown show on Earth. They appear to be completely incapable of learning from their mistakes.
With the ice edge very close to the 1981-2010 median at both poles, crooked climate scientists and their fellow travelers in the press continue to insist that the ice is at a “record low.”
The only place with a significant negative anomaly is the Bering Sea, where winds blew the ice edge back last week.
Arctic sea ice volume continues to increase, and is up nearly ten percent over the previous two years.
