New York Crime Rates 1960 – 2011

Obama, Cuomo and Bloomberg have been on a gun grab rampage in New York, despite the fact that the statewide murder rate has declined 20% since Clinton’s “assault weapon” ban was lifted. This has nothing to do with crime, and everything to do with subverting the Bill of Rights.

Why let facts get in the way of this discussion? The gun control debate is just like the climate [control] debate. Facts don’t matter. It’s irrelevant if assault weapons are used in a tiny fraction of murders. It doesn’t matter if gun crime has declined over the years. All that matters is putting in place more policies the bureaucrats can use to control the sheeple.

This event is within a few miles of some of the most exclusive residential areas in Silicon Valley,California, not far from homes owned by Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Shirley Temple, etc, etc.

Last night, 2-year-old, mother shot in Menlo Park drive-by directly across from Facebook’s offices:

In late November, police said that more than a dozen shootings and several slayings in East Palo Alto and Menlo Park over a six-month period were linked to a deadly feud between two rival street gangs.

Do you think this gangland behavior will stop if law abiding citizens register or turn in their guns ? The good citizens need the biggest, best, and fastest equipment as do the police. The gang guns are used aggressively in felony criminal activities. I doubt they will register or turn in any weapons. Many of them are here from illegal origins. TSA could serve us better by using their metal detectors in the “gang zones”. Also set up Border Patrol Vehicle Inspection Booths going in and out of Redwood City and East Palo Alto. The Booths would issue powerful weapons to law abiding citizens that enter the zone. That should calm down the gangs. We need to be able to shoot back harder and faster. Call it “adapting to diversity”.
