Mike Calnan, the National Trust’s head of gardens and parks, said the predictions were based on computer models generated by the Met Office Hadley Centre.
‘We looked at gardens in southern France and southern Portugal and, bearing in mind what we can grow in this country in mild locations, we came up with a list of probably things we could grow in the future,’ he said
He added: ‘The Met Office are saying that despite the recent concerns about the science, they are very sure about the underlying science.
The very sure science has changed however. Global warming is now going to turn the Mediterranean into Siberia.

It isn’t clear where this leaves England. The top UK scientist says that we will all have to move to Antarctica.

Antarctica is likely to be the world’s only habitable continent by the end of this century if global warming remains unchecked, the Government’s chief scientist, Professor Sir David King, said last week.
I wish they all would, but that would be too convient right now.

The kids in UK will be playing with that stuff from the past after this weekend – again.
That scene looks far more appealing than the usual cold, rainy, windy weather that normally takes place in the UK. Or the heat induced snow they are due to get next week.
Well you know yeah, rain all the time sucks too, it’s depressing. It was the same in Chilliwack BC. For what little snow we got there in the winter was a little heaven on earth because it rained most the time.
