What Part Of This Is Confusing?

For one: “what kind of arms?” It is too broad; perhaps they shouldn’t object to someone keeping a nuclear weapon for home defense?
Please ………………………………………….
I want a bazooka and a stinger missile.
If I want an ICBM in my backyard, the constitution guarantees that I can!
There is NO question as to “what kind of arms” .. this pertains to ALL arms, ANY arms .. ANY arms that the federal government can keep and bear, I am guaranteed that I too can keep and bear said arms.
Yo squid 2112 , I like your thinking , it means you can read and that you have comprehension skills .
It used to be who had the fanciest car in the neighborhood. Now it’s who has the highest powered bazooka.
Well, I tell you what. I will make you and the progressives (communists) in this country a deal. As soon as it is safer to walk the streets in Chicago than it is to have a cafe’ latte’ in downtown Beirut Lebanon, then we can start talking about what “arms” we are going to restrict. Until then, I will keep and bear any fricken arm I so choose. Hell, in Beirut if I strap on a couple of RPG’s with my AK-47, and garner a nice grenade belt, I would likely get a barrage of cat calls and “woot woot”‘s … And yet I would rather sit there drinking my latte’ than attempt to do the same in downtown Chicago.
So, until this changes, the gun control assholes can STFU!
Jew Without A Gun:

“If the Los Angeles riots taught us anything, it’s that you’re a fool if you count on the authorities to protect you in times of civil chaos — in fact, at any time. In the end, only I can protect my family.
I’m never, ever going to allow myself to be outgunned by the bad guys. All the gun laws that are on the books—and there are thousands of them—just make it that much easier for the barbarians to amass weapons and for law-abiding people like you and me to be at their mercy.
If you outlaw weapons, as so many squishy liberals yearn to do — well then, only the state and the outlaws will be armed. Which leaves ordinary citizens at the mercy of an all-powerful government and a variety of merciless criminal subcultures.“
Wait for it, the next thing you know the progressives will realize that the time it took the Colorado killer to unload many rounds from a wimpy gun that looks bad would have been cut to 1/10th the time with only five rounds delivered from a goose cooker (10 gauge w/double-trouble shot):)
The mess you witnessed in Aurora would look like slingshot wounds in comparison…
It was expected that the people would have the basic individual infantry weapon of the day. It would be like having M4 carbines and an M1911 sidearm in the US today. I also feel that anyone who has completed their 6 year military obligation on active duty should be allowed to keep their individual weapon upon separation provided that separation is under honorable circumstances as a token of the appreciation of a grateful nation. Rifles just don’t kill that many people in the US. You are more likely to die by someone’s bare hands than die from a shot fired from a rifle. You are 10x more likely to die from a workplace accident and 15x more likely to die from a medication screwup than you are to die from a rifle. Also, there will be absolutely no savings in lives from reduced magazine size. Mass killers generally die with plenty of loaded magazines still unfired. Forcing them to change magazines more often, an operation that takes about two or three seconds, isn’t going to save any lives. It’s stupid. The one thing that HAS shown to save lives is armed citizens. We should arm as many citizens as possible.

“What Part Of This Is Confusing?”
Maybe if it read “The people shall be entitled . . .” Yeah, the Progressives could get behind that.
Should we mandate how many horsepower your car can have? Who needs 300 HP? Who needs a car that goes more than 70 MPH?
If you can afford it, you should be able to buy it, short of nukes.
When the 2nd amendment was written, everyone had the same firepower, citizens had what the military had. If you could afford it, you could buy it.
